Well, I finally played through S3 last night. Unfortunately it was in a converted Killer Instinct cabnet and the buttons were far from perfect. My fingers were streached out and very uncomfortable. With all that in mind heres what I think...
The graphics are down right beautiful and the character design is bad ass. The control was not what I expected. Seemed a little slow to me. The ability to have combo type moves is very cool. Having the slash and fast punch buttons really help in the game. I liked how you can juggle the enemies and use the magic bar to do some special moves.
The bad... I think this is definately a 2 player game. If you play alone, it seems you get bombarded by way too many enemies that constantly do cheesy moves on you. At times the game got a little boring. Staying in the same area for a long time having tons of enemies droped on you. The enemies... I wish there was a wider design on the different enemies, they were cool and all, I just expected more i guess. The final boos is a fucking bitch to play alone, he's what ate up most of my tokens. Constant cheese and un-avoidable moves make this boss a shitty one. He was cool looking though.
I love this game though, but I have to play it with a second player. Some of the areas juat have too many cheap enemies that one person cant handle. Makes you very frusterated. Maybe it was me... The controls on the KI cabnet were way off and very uncomfortable, that could have had something to do with it.
Anyone else play the game? What are your thoughts?
