Have you noticed that as time has went on that more and more people have accepted CvS2? I have and i can say that I'm one of those people. I remember when it first came out and everybody was hating it for all kinds of reasons. People would say the game is trash, its horrible, the character suck bla bla bla etc. Now i've even heard people complimenting the game and stuff. Heh even the shit talkers who said SNK's version was gonna shut CvS2 down would rather play CvS2 than SvC.

have you noticed it?

Capcom-used people might find it just fine and even innovative, but amigo, u agree with me that SNK characters have been School-girl degraded... so, yep. it sucks.

spin, this is prolly the wrong forum since most of these people really hate CvSnk2.

however, i used to LOATHE it. I had a burn of it for DC chillin for prolly 6 months and only played it once. I was too busy playing the snk games i got and GGX2.

i fucking hated capcom fighters, but then my friends said they were playing it so i got into it.

its now one of my favorite fighters ever, CvSNK2 plays so well and is just a blast to play.

leagues ahead of chaos now that i have played both for a good amount of time

Haven't played this game in ages. I MUCH prefer CvS over the other three games in the series for the style and aesthetic polish on it. For gameplay I prefer the simplistic style of SVC.

There's just too much of everything in CvS2 for me to cope with it. I can understand that it's a fairly expansive fighting engine and able to cater to a number of different play styles.

I just get the feeling that I'm participating in a circus when I play.

The capcom versions are sooooo~ slow. A complete waste of time compared to SvC Chaos.

Haha, did I accidently make you expose your own denial? Don't stress it, The Capcom versions are slow, the SNK version has horrible hit detection. Neither is perfect, but I try to root for the home team.

If you think the Capcom versions are slow then there's something wrong with your eyes. It's fucking crazy some of the matches you can have with CvS2.

I'm sure you're right, I just havn't dedicated much time at all into the CvS series. I played it a few times in the arcade, and a few times at my friend's house, but I just wasn't feeling it. The controls seemed really, really delayed (you know, the time between when you press the button, and when the attack makes contact with your oppenent). This is the same reason why I stray away from the Last Blade series. LB has awesome animations and impressive backgrounds, but I could virtually get up and use the restroom before the time my attack finally executes, due to the damn pretty much 15 second ballet the character does before he slashes. Reminds me too much of 3D gaming.

Umm... no Res.

No offense but, you're wrong.

Do you have a Dreamcast? If you do, sit down and play the game for a couple of weeks.

You'll see that the characters are really different, and that the gameplay is different, but it is definitely not slow.

You can adjust the speed in CvS2.And the N-groove is fast. You can run and attack. The C-groove is good for lv 2 cancels. Both grooves are pretty versatile although N-groove is more competitive.

I watched that video, very nice.. pretty garish with all those fucking diamonds though.

and capcoms art fucking blows, who is doing that 'realistic' attempt with them needs to be strung up and fed small pieces of gravel for breakfast.

sagat looks so retarded. That desert stage with the 1500 polygon cars also riles me to the point of destroying my dreamcast when I see it.

Coupled with the flowery light effects every time I sweep or punch someone.. WTF?

How did they pull this turd out after CVS.. at least that looked nice.

And to think once - I actually waited with baited breath for CVS2 "Millionaire Fighting :spock:"

So far the only thing you bothered to mention where the graphics. This game plays like a dream - a very deep dream. If you can't get into the game because of the diamonds, Capcom art in the characters portraits, the 3d bgs, and 'flowery light effects' (wtf?), then I'll just chalk it up to your loss.

CvS does indeed look nice, and with the original oldschool tunes it provides an awesome atmosphere of the 2d days of old, but jesus christ it plays like utter shit compared to part 2.

I never even realized that the original soundtrack option included the actual original stage music from the older series, until earlier this year when I finally set the music option to 'original'.

It was a really nice touch.

It really is, especially on Geese's stage with his old badass FF1 music and that extremely stylish bg they gave him. It's on CvS2 as well, but the old tunes are only available if you pick the practice stage, where for the most part is the main stage I pick if I'm playing online or in person.

LOL, I didn't realize that either!

It'll be awhile before I can check that out though, by beloved DC is boxed away for the time being.

everyone feels too floaty and light.

and damn those flowery light effects.

char select screen, you have to select a char in a diamond type fashion.. fantastic.. up, left, right, down, OH For FUCKS SAKE, up-right.. nope.. down a little.. oh fuck the timers run out.. I'll just use that char then..

And you are correct, I havent commented on anything else than the graphics and presentation, because it turned me off that damn much I couldn't be bothered to play it for more than 6 minutes at a time.

fuck this game.. fuck it in the ass.

If this is what capcom does in future.. then .. oh my..

I rate it far below MVC2 even. The presentation on that was very impressive, maybe it didn't play so hot but meh.

If you have trouble selecting your character then playing the game itself could pose a serious problem.

Judging a game soley on it's graphics and not bothering to take a peek into it's engine is why a lot of people don't get into KOF 2001 either, which is another gem quickly disregarded because people think the tunes and bgs are crap.
