Okay, I've had my Neo for about a year now and have just started getting into the fighting games in a big way.

Do you guys actually use all of these crazy moves? It seems like most of them take too long to pull off, but the computer is always using them.

Is there a way to use this stuff? Do I even need to? I'm tired of seeing my power bars maxed at 3, and I have no idea what to do with them.

Can anyone take a newbie under his wing and explain this stuff to me? I've tried FAQS, but most are written like I already know what these things are and how to use them. And the manuals are good for a laugh, but not for real direction...

Just because it's at the top of the forum doesn't mean it's the first place to post.

Your first tip.

So then what you are saying is that although guard cancel attacks can be helpful, they aren't needed in order to master the game.

Thanks man!

Any other good advice?

I just realized that maybe I should have posted this in the "General Discussion" forum. I'm so used to just checking "news and rumors" that I didn't even consider that I should look in a different forum.

Hopefully, they will have as good advice over there as here. Thanks again!

Super Specials are known as DM's by us sensible neo fans, and super supers known as SDMs. SImple eh?

I can say that supers play a VERY important role in any fighting game. Just goto google video and look up some tourney vids, see how people use them.

Click on Game Play and i think its the 3rd down "Gameplay Glossary" that might help you out a bit.

Thanks man. You were right. Helps a lot!

I see my original post has been moved to the gameplay forum, where I started a new thread. You guys can go THERE rather than running two threads. Sorry for the confusion!
