I'm still a little puzzled over why Rockstar claims that there were space contraints on the 360 when the Image is less than 7 gigs with language support for 5 territories.

And yes, the rip does work (Assuming you have your XBox modded)

Well if Microsoft is using the Dl-DVD layer standard, 9.4 Gigs would be the max amount of space that they could fit.

Why would they short themselves 2.4 Gigs worth of space? Hmm I guess stranger things have happened.

could be some overhead software that goes on every disc leaving devs with only 7 to work with.

Might be because of their ultimate, infallible security sectors.

Did Rockstar ever say this? All I know about is the complaint about the 360's lack of hard drive.

I think you a word.

Anyone who cares about expandability will buy this for PC anyway. Just mucking about in the physics was hours of fun in VC and SA... oh look, a 500 ton motorcycle that can accelerate to 60mph in one frame!

Hahaha.

He is right.

MS made the worst decision ever from a development standpoint when they decided to not have all 360's ship with a HDD.

They did make this claim last year when the switch to multi-platform came about. Makes sense considering the team was expecting to have at least 25 gigs of space to use on a single layer BD. Either way, I may check it out. I never got into the GTA games that much. I'm more excited about Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit, haha! :mr_t:

MS should discontinue the non-HDD models and then pretend they never existed.

It would probably piss off like what? 5-10 people max?

Yeah. I happily bought one of the hard drive-free models after launch because if it had been like the original XBox, then it would have been a great idea. They got their console generations flip-flopped when it comes to the hard drive requirement. But now of course I have a hard drive. Additionally, I don't understand how they can expect to get very far with their video download service without giving people larger hard drives for lower prices.

I would agree, except they are selling Arcade models with 256 meg cards as we speak. I can imagine getting by okay with that as long as you don't download demos and don't get too many Arcade games. But yeah, there's no way anyone can expect to get the full benefit of the 360 that way. I wonder if they will ever make anymore 'hard drive required games' and what will be the consequences (if any) of doing that.
