Usually I am totally against ANY type of Americanization of games, because it just turns out awful (see Elite Beat Agents)... but in this case, I'd welcome it a bit. Seriously, I don't see this game making it here without some slight changes to the characters, at least.

Too much American pop stuff. Not that I'm a fan of J-Pop, it's just that when I can understand the actual words being said in the pop song, I can process just how TERRIBLE it is. And I can't play it anymore.

It wasn't convenient, it was intentional. A few weak links in the track list don't make it a bad game, it has some great songs too.

For me though, that ruins the game, the fact that nearly 50% of the game is unplayable to me, due to how bad I find the music (9 tracks out of 19)... where as if you took some of those same songs and made the lyrics in Japanese... I wouldn't process any of that part of the song, I'd just hold the beat and keep playing. Which was my original point.

The Japanese versions I LOVE to pick up and play, but only maybe 2-4 tracks keep me away in those games. Where as 9 for a 19 track game... that's too much.
