$350. Includes shipping in the US.

I bought it to try it out for a while, but I've determined I don't need a converter. Everything is like new with the original packaging. I have not used it much at all, and it is working perfectly.

I guess I'm keeping this, since no one seems to want it. I don't know anywhere else you can buy this for less than $395 and this is the converter to have. Since it's basically brand new and I just bought it to experiment with, I need to get most of my money back for it.

I guess I'll use this as a backup for my MVS.

Not shiting on your thread bro. This is a good price for the Daedalus and it is pretty unique but I think now there are just better and cheaper options for Neo Converters. The Magic Key has a built in Uni-Bios, is cheaper, and doesn't load carts sideways.

I have both, and while I love the design of the Magic Key MVS, it has some drawbacks compared to Daedalus:

- Does not support NGDev games, Daedalus does (Tested with Razion and Gunlord only)
- Vertical orientation means you cannot put the Neo in low-clearance spaces.
- AFAIK it does not work with neosd cart (I do not have one or plan on getting it, but I've read so).

Regards.

I did not know it ran NGDEV games. That's definitely a plus for many people interested in playing them. I've never been interested in this Daedalus design. Always thought that the cart hanging sideways like that would put stress on something.

But Damn, for $350-400 you could probably find a nice cmvs.

Again, not trying to shit on Neo Alec's thread.

It costs $395. I don't know where else you can get it for less. The Daedalus handled everything I threw at it perfectly.

The Magic Key looks too much like the Super MVS II. The build is cheap. Have they really fixed the multitude of issues? Although I will agree I prefer the vertical orientation.

It's not perfect and I can't compare build quality since I never had a Daedalus converter but it played pretty much every official neo mvs game I've thrown at it without the scaling issues that the original one had. The internal uni bios is a nice touch for those who don't have the uni bios installed in their neo console.

Only problem I have with it is that I sometimes have to plug and unplug the cart a few times from the converter to get it to work. Sometimes it works on the first try but I guess that's the case for most converters. It's not like plugging a cart in directly to the aes or mvs were it works on the first try like 95% of the time.

I had distorted sound on KOF 2002 on a 9v system. I just couldn't trust that it was playing games accurately. With the Daedalus I don't worry about it.

Interesting, I'll have to try KOF 02 on it one of these days.

I'm glad you're happy with it. Does the bottom of your system say to use it with PRO-POW or PRO-POW2 or PRO-POW3?

Yea, I mean I haven't tried every single mvs cart I own on it but everyone I tried worked. I will check and get back to you on the voltage.

Your not mixing up the original super mvs converter with the magic key , right? That is the most recent one with the newer firmware.

Your price was fine, it's just a hard sell on here since most of the forum hates the guts of the guy who makes it. Same reason it's hard as hell too sell an Analogue cmvs here.

My Regular Neo says Pro-Pow2.

Just played KOF 02 all the way and worked flawlessly with zero sound issues.

I'm not confusing them, but I am questioning how much better the Magic Key is than the Super MVS II that I had, since they appear to be made by the same people.

I'm with you there. However it seems like the bottom line is people just want to have the best converter. When someone else makes one that works 100% that will be the converter to have.

Good to hear it's working on non-5v systems. That's an improvement.

With the exception of NGDev games, the Magic Key MVS has played everything I've thrown at it. That includes all KOF games, all Metal Slugs, Garou, SvC Plus, Knight's Chance and even the 161-in-1. All of them play perfectly.

.

Yea, It looks the same but is different. I owned the Super MVS II and that gave me nothing but issues, scaling, sound, garbled graphics. Even tried ordering that other power supply that they mentioned was the issue and same thing.

The Magic Key does not have those same issues.

I have the blue magic key(bought in 2013) played all my games but if there were any problems all I had to do was clean the carts and then they worked every time

Almost like how people hate him but have no problems wanting a mem card slot or VMC on their CMVS systems, he's also the one who cracked that.

So, the technical knowledge of the guy is real, but he just went to the dark side of scamming?

I don't think he went to the dark side, I think he started there due to his relative. Smart guy but too bad it went like that.

Thanks James. Guess I still have a lot of history of this place to read and learn.
