Going to Mayhem Fest tomorrow in PA.

I was going to go just to see Slayer and Cannibal Corpse but plans changed. I'd definitely like to hear how the show goes.

As a festival enthusiast and amateur sociologist I would really love to go to a metal festival. I would also go to the Insane Clown Posse's camping festival... but I would be afraid for my life around all those freaks hopped up on meth/coke/crack.. and those type of people feed on fear.

It was great. My friend is designing t shirts for The Black Dahlia Murder so they hooked us up with backstage passes and some free merch. We got to watch their set from backstage and we were able to hang out with George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher before Cannibal took the stage.

I was hyped up for Slayer and they killed it but we actually had more fun watching the acts on the 2 support stages.

Awesome pictures man! Those Slayer pics in particular are awesome. Also, I can't believe the way George whips his head/hair around considering he has no fucking neck.

Slayer was putting so much bass through the pa that it was actually maxing out the speakers and shaking the hell out of my camera lens.

I had 20db earplugs in and it was still brutally loud.

I was going to get tickets to the Boston show, but I've seen everyone of the 'good' bands on the bill at least once. Slayer clocks in at 6 times. I can't wait for BDM's new cd on Sept. 15th! I really wish they headline a tour this fall. I would love to see them again. One of the most comical and entertaining metal bands to see.

We were talking with their tour manager/merch guy and he said that after the Mayhem fest wraps up BDM will be heading out with Slipknot for a few months in the US.
