Hey all,

I'm hoping to pick up a 2 slot or 4 slot MVS dedicated Neo cabinet this weekend. (w/25" monitor) Just wondering if you all can help me out with a few things:

- Are there any common issues I should look for during the preview period? I know the obvious things like checking for burn-in, monitor colors, etc. I just want to make sure I check this thing over for everything possible before I bid.

- Can anyone confirm the exact width, and weight of the cabinets for me? After much searching, I have found that it's about 25.5in wide, and around 330lbs. Since many of you here have one or more of these cabinets at home, perhaps you can confirm this for me?

Thanks in advance! Wish me luck this weekend. :)

A coupel of things to look for in 2/4/6 slot cabs before buying so you know what you're getting into:

Bring a set of headphones to test the headphone jacks.

Cycle through all of the games to make sure all slots on the motherboard work

When cycling through the games, take note of the marquee, each slot should illuminate granted the panels aren't dead.

Joysticks and buttons aren't a big deal to swap in new ones (they're cheap), so don't let the control panel make/break the deal.

When inspecting the control panel, make sure the credit LED's work.

Also, make sure the sound isn't very low when you first power on the cab. If it is extremely quiet with the volume all the way up, it means the motherboard needs new capacitors on the sound amp.

Check the side-art! Check the marquee! Those are the 2 most important parts of a dedicated MVS IMO, make sure they're in acceptable condition.

If the monitor's colors are bad, but there is no burn-in, that problem can most likely be fixed with a capacitor kit ($10-$15).

Hope those suggestions help. Go over to www.hardmvs.com, I believe they have cabinet measurements posted.

Thanks! Didn't even think of the headphones and credit LED's, and didn't know that about the sound.

I guess you could say this is my "holy grail" as far as gaming goes. I've wanted a Neo cabinet for many, many years now. I just hope there's one there in good condition!

Any other info anyone has is greatly appreciated.
