Guile can be a cheap ass too

OK, humor me. What's so bad about Guile? He seems like garbage in SVC. The control for charge moves is terrible (you have to charge moves for way too long to even have them come out). His low "forward" poke is crap. What is it about him that makes him not worthless?

you haven't seen a real Guile on this game, there is no lag time on the charge for a sonic boom

I have the home cart, thanks. I was trying to play "fair," but standard KOF charge times simply don't work for sonic booms and flash kicks (you end up slowly jumping in the air and doing a regular kick)

So you're saying Guile has no lag after throwing a sonic boom, or he can throw sonic booms by barely charging up at all? Like the old hacked Hong Kong Street Fighter boards, or the FHD charge characters?

The characters who are bosses from their respective titles seem harder to beat than the regulars in SvC.

I really like that, it kind of takes me back. :emb:

Mbison is more cheaper than Goenitz.
Erm, Psycho Crusher MBison? Boxer MBison?

Both are fine fighters... they're not any cheap in my opinion...

But the boxer can be a pain at times -.-;;

Yeah, against Balrog (boxer), I just go up to him and throw his ass all the time to get past him. Just plain easy.

I have ALWAYS found Ryu, Akuma, Shin Akuma and that little sweet, screaming "Waaaaaaaaaaaa!" "Yes, I am gay!" Ken to be the cheapest characters EVER created in any fight game! I am probably the OLDEST player here! I spent hours in the arcades in the early 90's on Street Fighter Champion Edition challenging people who could play nothing but, Ken, Ryu, Akuma. They play only those characters. Why? Their priority moves were like GOD! Skill NEVER came into question. When Guy came out redesigned in Street Fighter Alpha II, I kicked butt CONSTANTLY with him.

Then when SFA III came out, all the magazines talked about how "balanced" it was. Bull! It is graphically beautiful. However, any Guy player should note that they destroyed his fighting ability. Ken, Ryu and Akuma are now once again the little sweet, cheap, cheesy, monkey butt characters they always were! The outcome? I have a Dreamcast copy I have played maybe 10 times in 2 years! My favorite is SFA II!

Goenitz is the final boss in King of Fighters 96, he's part of the Orochi storyline and the Heavenly King of Wind. Yeah, he's pretty cheap but many nowhere had he been cheaper than in King of Fighters 96. With the implementation of roll, he just pulls those wind pillars all day and when you come in past the pillars he just snuggled up to you, grabs and throws you or combos you up.

I couldn't agree more!! Goentiz in KOF '96 was an absolute monster and his wind attacks and combos were awesome and would intimidate you. He's my all-time favortie boss from any KOF series, even better than Rugal, Orochi, Krizald, Zero, or Igniz (which btw are pretty cheap themselves too) Rugal 2002 is very cheap!! I haven't played SvC Chaos yet so I look forward to seeing Goenitz once again. :D
