I appreciate the attempt to bring more Ghosts and Goblins in everyones life, but if you advertise your game as a new iteration of GnG and promote it as hard as nails you have to appreciate the fact that the main challenge in Ghosts and Goblins wasn't (only) to get through the levels, but also to NOT pick up any other weapon than the knife for as long as possible. (This game gives the player the option to keep weapons and even switch between them.)

Nah, screw that. That was the worst mechanic of the game. Having only one good and viable weapon with the rest being trash and having to actively avoid them is just bad game design.

Being able to keep and switch weapons is a very welcome change IMO.

It's two different things. The problem is the balance between weapons - not the carry-a-single-weapon feature.
I actually think it's a much better option for that type of game to force the player to deal with the weapons that are randomly offered to them. It's adapting and making quick decisions depending on your knowledge of the game vs just "choosing".

Mostly useless weapons, terrible jumping, and a lazy way of extending the game by making you play through it twice for no real reason.

Yet it's still fun for some mysterious reason.

That's totally fine, as long as all of the weapons are useful in some way over the default like Metal Slug or Contra.

More power to those who enjoy it. Ghouls & Ghosts at least had more fun level design, much better weapons overall, and golden armor special attacks, but the OG G&G is something I only personally enjoy when I want to pretend I'm 7 and get to level 2 before giving up.

I have Final Vendetta coming, but I did not preorder this. I tried their Genesis games, and I wish them the best on this one.

How long from when you ordered it till they actually shipped it?

The kickstarter ended back June 5th 2024 and initial shipments for backers were delayed several times, so a lot of people are just now getting their copies.

Wow, thanks for not being of any help. gud jerb!
They started sending out orders in May and are still fulfilling the orders for original backers, so depending on the package and version it took around 11-14 months between ordering and shipping. If you ordered the AES JPN version or dreamcast version they are supposed to start sending those out this month.

My aren't you an epic fucktard. I was asking TMOSteel about when he ordered his to gauge how long it took Pixelshart to ship his order. Because those lazy fucks can't seem to be bothered to ship out my cart that I ordered a month ago even though it was listed as "in stock". I asked nothing about kickstarter shit. So why don't you do us all a favor, go outside and play hide an go fuck yourself an stfu about kickstarter shit

Well my NON-Kickstarter "In stock' copy of Gladmort finally showed up today. Not sure if it actually wasn't in stock when I ordered it, or if they'd had too much cheese & croissants to be bother to git off their asses an toss the damn thing in a box an ship it out.

I certainly am not gonna pre-order that next MVS cart they're releasing. Don't care for the lazy/slow behavior or the basically complete lack of customer service. They never emailed me about any delay. Never emailed me that it shipped. An never provided ANY tracking info at all on it. SMH...
