I was browsing 4chan and some of the kiddies were bragging about this, and had pix of the Gynoid doll that comes with it.

Yeah, that set would be hard to find at this point. It was a limited edition preorder only item. As you've already found though, it's $600 (actually the preorder price had it ~$500). That's no subs as well on the disc, and as far as I can tell it's the same DVD you get when the regular R2 DVD.

meh, i would kill for the original GiTS limited edition though. (not sure if it was a dvd set). that one was in a metal case, contained the original GiTS book plus ManMachine Interface (GITS2), a disc, plus a model(s) (a fuchikoma i think)
