Where would someone start if they have no previous experiance. The C/C++ for dummies books. DOS for dummies maybe. I wanna learn how to program for the GBA but everytime I want to start I reach a brick wall. I know I have to learn steps before I even think about making a game. Can someone help me get to the first step, or atleast put me on to the right track. Also is this hard to do once the basic programming knowlege is learned?

GBA programming is pretty easy if you have a good knowledge of c.

If you have no programming experience I would recommend C Primer Plus (whatever the newest edition is now). Plus these days there are lots of online resources, but I find books are always better.

Next time you reach a brick wall send me a pm. I'll help ya out!

Start by learning programming on a documented platform such as a PC and then go from there. Even starting with something like VB can help you learn the proper way to think as a programmer. If you want to learn what goes on under the hood within computers, pick up a book like Assembly Language Step by Step.
