Yup... back from christmas holidays and I'm hatin' it.

I had not much time for games during the past two weeks because I was busy with eating, relaxing and having fun with our family and friends, but anyway, here is what I've been playing:

Neo Home
KoF2k1

GC
Killer 7 (Awesome game and quite challenging.)

Xbox
Forza (Played it with a wheel, not bad. Good choice of cars, I like it better than GT4.)

PS2
GT4 (Could anyone please tell me what's so great about this one?)
NGBC

Well... I have to admit my first impression of this game was not very good, took me quite a while to tune in to its engine. Seems like an enhanced SvC engine with some elements from KoF2k2 and 2k3.

The chara lineup rocks, tho. Hanzo, Fuuma, what else could an old World Heroes fart ask for, eh!

Gameplay is nice and fairly quick, tagging is not too hot and I don't like the RotD-style double tag attacks, other than that I find the engine quite interesting. Let's see how it turns out in the long run...

There are some slowdowns in the game, specially when you tag in your partner and continue with a DM-combo, are they in the original as well? I played around with different graphics settings but the slowdowns are still there.

Speaking of graphics, I really LOVE the character artwork, Fuuma looks so fucking cool, really savage and powerful, which is good because after KoF NW I had no hope anymore for less gay artwork.

Haven't played enough of NGBC yet to come to a conclusion about it, this week I'll be getting some good 2P comp against my buddies, let's see how NGBC performs here.

Finally got to a bunch of games over the holidays (as well as getting a working Xbox 360), so....

NINTENDO DS
Animal Crossing
Sonic Rush

PLAYSTATION 2
Shadow of the Colossus

PC
Quake 4
Day of Defeat: Source
Darwinia

XBOX 360
Project Gotham Racing
Smash TV

EDIT: Nice to see some Killer 7 fans. EASILY the most underrated game of 2005. :chimp:

Hook up a GT Force Pro and do the final licence test in S class (Nurburgring in Sauber C9).

GBA

Final Fantasy IV (JPN)

First time I have played any version of this and I am loving it. About 5 hours in so far.

DS

Mario Kart DS

Kind of getting to the end of my run with this. Have played on-line a lot though, and had a blast. Have around 158 wins and 75 losses. Went up against someone with 2500+ wins the other day

PS2

NEOGEO Battle Coliseum

Loved it in the arcade, love it on the PS2. The new Tag Mode is a simple yet great addition.

Haven't participated this in a long time-

PS2-
Castlevania SOTN (Playing this the most and having a blast)
R-type Final (The best R-type ever, the game is an absolute masterpiece)
Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks (Just got it yesterday, fun diversion)
Megaman Collection

PC-
Battlefield 2 (Squad-based MP can be fun if people use teamwork)

PSP-
Kingdom of Paradise (AKA Kingdom of Snoring, god this game is boring)

GCN-
Mario Kart 2 (I think I'm officially sick of knocking balloons off go-karts driven by stuffed animals after all these years.)

What do you think about Quake 4?
DOD:S is fun as long as I don't get owned every 5 seconds by the vets.
Darwinia... just tried it yesterday, interesting game.

3rd Strike on the bawkz, and a little Strikers 1945 Plus on my C-MVS.

I seriously need to not allow myself to play 3rd Strike for like a month or something, it's like a fucking drug. :oh_no:

Quake 4 is a good game, had a lot more fun with it than Call of Duty 2. IMO it's really what Doom 3 SHOULD have been (working as a team, great level design, actually being able to SEE without a flashlight all the time). That said, it's a bit short, and the multiplayer is basically a remix of Quake 3. Still good times though. Stay away from the Xbox 360 version though, major problems with it.

DOD:S is also what Call of Duty 2 should have been as well. More strategy than just run-shoot-run. It's certainly hard though, but as much as I play FPS games I need a difficult Multiplayer experience to keep me interested.

Darwinia is definitely fun, although it gets a little too repetitive for my tastes.

Forza seems less gimmickry than GT4 to me, it feels right from the get-go, unlike GT4 which is like a RPG with cars or something. The initial lineup of cars in GT4 sucks.

Killer 7 is cool... that personality thing was a bit tricky at first, but now I zoom through the game without too much bloody-paper-bag excursions, which I find slightly annoying to be honest.

yeah, the old cleaner thing, geh

ride it though man, its more a story than a game, one of the boss fights is the best boss fights I've ever played , although once you know how to beat them all they are hardly difficult.

definately more of an experience than a game as such though

That's what it's all about, had some great squad matches last night. What's your player ID in the game?
