I understand your position Lou, in part I agree with you. But my motivation is not to force people to be PC. I hate PC.
That's cool Bro, and I apologize if I sounded like I was insinuating that you personally forced PC onto others.
And look, if I started ranting on about Blacks or Jews I would EXPECT people to attack me. If you're gonna have extreme views, you gotta expect to have to take some heat for them.
I certainly agree here. But then, what I can't help but wonder is how productive is it to
give heat to people who have made statements you may not agree with. But then, if all you're shooting for is to have a little fun with this, I can't begrudge that. I know GA seemed to have a lot of fun flaming back and forth, so maybe he's getting a big kick out of it too. Who knows? Whoa, God forbid, maybe this a sort of, I dunno,
bonding between you that neither one of you are aware of! You better watch it, or you two'll be going to Hooters, going bowling, and drinking beer together.
He threatens and curses and basically asks for people to abuse him.
No arguement here on that.

Who I agree always overdo it!
Thanks for agreeing about the PC lobby! Stand strong Brother, we can fight their tyranny!
I can't really comment on how you perceive GA. I personally just thought of his comments as shooting off, and could never really take him serious anyway. I guess this comes down to a matter of "all in the eye of the beholder" or something like that.
But this isn't us whining about how unfair it is that men call women co-workers "honey" or "babe"!! This isn't PC-ness gone mad!
If it was, I'd agree with you!
Fair enough. I may have been wrong in understanding where you guys were coming from. I think I let Bobak's "let's play the racist card into the ground" act influence my judgement on what everybody else thought about GA. So, for thinking you all fell in line with Bobak's mind-set on this, I apologize.

You detracters can spout all you like about why we should lay off GA, but ask yourself what that would mean. Would that mean he'd feel more comfortable at this site?
It wasn't about welcoming GA back with a warm tear and open arms, it was about, as far as I had perceived, politically correct hypocrisy. Which, as I said earlier, I stand corrected on that assumption towards Neobuyer and Metal Slug.
Then what? He never used this site for anything other than attacking those who confronted him in chat - or later in these forums. For all we know, the guy doesn't even like the neo geo, and it's just one of the many things he deals in to make money, so he stays on the boards out of consideration to his business. There is no proof otherwise.
So why have him on these forums?
Interesting point, but why presume to know what's necessary or essential to being an "acceptable" member on this forum? For that matter, look at how many members actually post, yet consider the total amount of members. While I don't begrudge anybody for sitting quietly and reading, you can't say they're anymore productive towards this site than GA, emulation fools, or people who don't even own Neo Geo's. (none of which I hold in contempt personally, except emulation fools who defend their actions with lame excuses) The way I see it, this is Shawn's site, and if he feels that a particular member isn't what this site is about, then let him ban him. Really, we're all guests here, so it's not any of our business who should be allowed to stay or go.
You can't always pity the underdog - especially when the under is an 'et' short of being an asset to the community (my stupid joke of the day).
You're right, but the thing is I really don't
pity GA because he obviously loved to get the dandruff up on others. I just saw what I perceived as a huge mistake on a lot of people's parts. Of course, I was corrected on at least two assumptions.
I like neobuyer's art. It means something. The philosophy is easy to grasp, and humorous to a wide range of members who have been following GA, Tonk, Dion, etc. It hasn't gone overboard yet.
I like his art too. Hopefully he'll submit some stuff to Fan Scene when it goes back online. (yo Neobuyer, wink wink nudge nudge ) And you're right, it hasn't gone
completely overboard yet, but I still think his talent would be put to better use drawing a kick ass pic, though I
do find his cartooning funny as hell most of the time.
Thanks,
