I can confirm it will run. I had a nomad and a game gear quite a while ago and I would always use the GG pack when the nomad rechargable pack died on me.

Thank you so much for answering my question. How long could the Nomad have possibly lasted on one full charge of the Game Gear's battery pack? An hour?

Please note I am really dusting the cobwebs off that memory, its been a loooooong time ago but I want to say about 3 hours or so. I could be a little off, but it did last for a little while. It was a nice backup to have. The game gear car adapter works with the nomad also.

Nomad is better, I had the game gear and hated the Mortal Kombat 2 on it, MK1 was better though.

I have the official Game Gear car adapter for my Nomad. It's the only car adapter there is for the Nomad, they never made actual Nomad accessories. Even the Nomad instruction manual tells you to use Game Gear accessories. And considering the Nomad's battery life, you really have no choice.
