Game Collector Lists

Hey Mods,

As you know I run a largish video game database. One of the upgrades that we are toying around with is creating a skinnable version of our site that users of web forums (such as this fine one) would be able to access via game collection links that would reside in the user profiles of members here. Basically it would work by having a place in the Control Panel where you would put your VGR username...much like you do with AIM, MSN, Yahoo now. Then, assuming you fill in a username, link(s) would appear in the members profile...maybe somewhere close to the avatar witha link for "game collection". When someone clicks on the link they will be greeted with a version of VGR that uses Neo-Geo.com's style guide, colors and has a Neo-Geo.com logo.

VGR would benefit from new users that would help flesh out the database and Neo-Geo.com would benefit from a simple forum modification that would show off users' game collections. Seeing as I've been a member of Neo-Geo.com for a long time I'd love for N-G to be the first forum that has this functionality.

Assuming I get the greenlight from Shawn and the forum Admins, I'd love to start working on a mock-up and show off the potential. I would of course need the admins support in adding a field in the control panel (which seems easy enough to do) and making a small change to the area that houses the avatar, post count, custom title etc. to add in icons and tie in the url. I'm not terribly familiar with vbulletin, but in concept in shouldn't be too hard.

Can you make it so you can remove games from you Wanted / Have list without visiting each individual page.

Like a delete all checked.

Not yet..the problem is that once a game is one your list...it no longer has a check box. I'll need to think of a solution for mass unchecking...

im definetely down with game collections.

sounds like a great idea, and i think that the failed attempts to do a collector's section here that have come and gone this one sounds doable.
