Gals Fighter and Last Blade, funnest and best fighter on NGPC?

I have been giving Gals Fighters and Last Blade quite a lot of hours on my NGPC, and must say they are my two favorite fighters, not just because they are recent but in terms of style and chic, these two stand out. There is pretty much nothing to complain about Last Blade, when they say 'perfect port' they are talking about Last Blade, it has pretty much all the combos, super cancels, secret arts, special moves, gorgeous animation and beautiful background preserved down to a T, faithful to Last Blade 1 and Last Blade 2 on the MVS.
And Gals Fighters, well, I guess it's the closest thing one has to King of Fighters R-3 with that lineup and tweaked specials straight out of King of Fighters 99. Yuri is back in full effect with her Chou Knuckle, Chou Uppers, the Hand Slap etc., Whip is in the roster, Miss X has the blood riot so that's a bit weird, since she is supposed to have lost that after defeating Orochi, but has the new SDM, Mai has the new butt drop, Leona has her Grateful Dead, and the CPU is simply a combo monster, nothing to complain about at all.

One small gripe I have about Gals Fighters, but then pretty much any cpu has some kind of downside that is somewhat unintentional (Kain, Easiest SNK Boss ever from Mark of the Wolves comes to mind) is that for some reason, when Miss X does her 202 ways: Dark Crescent Slash, it's about 70/30 that it will connect and unblocked by the CPU. Yet the CPU blocks one of my DMs 95% of the time, what's up?

ive heard nothing but good things about last blade...id love to pick up a copy one day

Mine is the Japanese version. I think due to the gobs of stuff they threw on the Last Blade cart, it didn't have the dual language options as a lot of their other fighters had. Didn't mind too much though, as it proved to be a somewhat cool challenge since I'm learning Japanese and currently in my third year.

These two are good, but Match of the Millennium rules any portable fighter. I prefer the bigger sprites in Fatal Fury/KoF/Gal Fighters/MotM to the small ones in Last Blade/SamSho too. Just look at Haohmaru, what a difference!
