My bandwith, which is metered out on an hourly basis by Yahoo! Geocities, must have been used up when you looked (the site goes down for the hour when that happens, then "re-opens" when the next hour rolls around). I just checked it now, and everything worked okay for me.

:drool_2:  @ cutey honey.

While I'm not a competent artist, I am a competent draftsman. I love the cutey honey drawing and really have nothing to add except a bravo. I'd reccommend buying some blue-lined grid paper if you feel better drawing on a lined paper. The blue lines are non-reproducable. I've done many a sketch/drawing on the blue lines and they deliver a strong photocopy if you use any lead north of F.

Please continue your work and develop your skills so we can see more!

Also, I like the comic book style you've done. I would reccomend practicing lettering. A 1/8" AMES lettering guide with a 3H lead or so will give you good guidelines. I sometimes also use a template. Letterers use a triangle with a parallel bar to deliver perfect vertical strokes when lettering and freeehand the horizontals.

I was tempted to post something stupid like :drool_2:  @ metriod but was overwhelmed by the coolness of your site. More cover parodies please.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Well, Magnaflux, as I stated on the update page, the Metroid thing is kinda old (4-5 years). I don't draw on lined paper anymore (unless I'm really desperate) and I would probably use a template of some sort if I was to do something similar these days for lettering. Thanks for the suggestions/advice regardless though.

if you're interested in hand lettering, there is a process known as leroy you can research. It is very expensive and time consuming (like most art) but the results are fantastic. Otherwise, in today's age it would probably be best to download some comic type fonts and print them out on clear sheets to be affixed to the paper.
