Hey Guys!

I used to collect sega 16bit stuff like a madman, but I am focused on moving to Los Angeles and currently out of work my priorities have changed.

I have a few things to sell today:

SEGA CD Model 1 with a Region-free hacked JPN Bios - Acting up at the moment with my genesis. tried it in another genesis 1 and it works fine, I checked the fuse and its perfect. I'm not sure if it is my sega cd or not either way I don't feel right selling it at the moment as working fine.
Some smart dudes over on assemblergames dumped the bios and disassembled it, removed all region checks for cds, and bundled it up and have been testing it for the last 2 years. I had originally wanted to use the US bios hacked, but the compatibility with certain JPN discs wouldn't work since there is code missing on the US bios that some JPN cd games need to display things correctly. So the solution with this system is a working JAPAN BIOS running when combined with a US Genesis just fine. When the system runs it displays JAPANESE SEGA CD Home screen, but navigation has never been an issue for me.

I also recently rebuilt the CD tray and installed a new rubber band in place of the old worn-out one. System works like a charm. I will include a Sega AC adaptor I use, but it was originally for the base converter, but works fine.

SYSTEM CONDITION: HAS SCRATCHES, DENTS, DINGS, SMUDGES, BUT RUNS AND PLAYS PERFECTLY! THIS UNIT WAS MY SEGA CD I USED FOR PLAYING, NOT FOR DISPLAY ON A SHELF. I SUGGEST THE SAME FOR THE NEXT OWNER, SINCE IT HAS AN UPGRADED BIOS MOD ENABLING NO NEED TO PATCH SEGA CD GAMES.

Sealed NIB LUNAR: The Silver Star for Sega CD - $100
Still in shrink wrap. Buyer will pay shipping plus insurance and delivery tracking to be safe of course.
This is a one of a kind find, I've seen them go for 75 opened with manual on feebay, never one still in shrinkwrap.
One of the best games ever made in my opinion, but definitely the top game made on the Sega CD. Great use of sprites and a real classic built for the system, on the system it was made for. If you buy this, please do not open it, put it on a shelf and aquire a cdr copy of the game to play. I can help you find it if you need.

I don't think it matters, but the power adapter in your picture is for a Sega Master System.

As stated in the first post it is from a sega base converter for SMS games on genesis but it works fine.

Hi Mike, not able to send PM yet, if you can PM directly. Failing that feel free to send me an email at cannibal at gmail dot com. Glad to see you're in Jersey, I'm in NYC myself. :)

The Power Base Converter doesn't have it's own power supply. That PSU is from a plain old Master System.

Just so you know, the Sega CD AC adapter (and for that matter, the Model 1 Genesis adapter too) outputs 9v 1.2a, whereas that SMS adapter only outputs 1 amp. That's a 200mA load difference.

got it thanks.

The 1.2 rated sega cd model 1 ac adaptor actually puts out 850ma under load. this power supply puts out the same amount under load and has worked fine for me for over a year with this system. There's a reason I took pictures of the power supply in the thread and wrote exactly what it was in my original listing to the best of my knowledge. I wouldn't splice a second connector on this power supply and try to power both genesis and sega cd from this SMS power supply, but for my sega cd it works absolutely fine. I've tested the voltage and amperage under load and have noticed no difference other than the smaller "rating" which seems unrealistic in the first place.
