It's not; there are green boards out there right now for less than that, shipped.

Damn, I didn't know Giga Wing jumped on price that high lately.

Always bitching on sales threads :oh_no:

Let me guess, this time you are looking for a Giga Wing board (just like SFZ 2 Alpha a few months ago)?

Giga wing blue unphoenixed $125-$145, phoenixed add $20
Giga wing green unphoenixed $110-$135, phoenixed add $20

A&B boards + phoenixed.

Orange = service menu in english.

Green = service menu in japanese.

Pictures coming soon!

Orange = less value than either Blue or Green... And CPS2 motherboards can be had incredibly cheap.. Not trying to be an ass, just trying to get you in the right direction so you don't sit on it for months...

Why?

Same chips, same plastic material, same sticker and same game (with english service menu).

- Hispanic boards are less sought after. Most want US or JPN.
- Hispanic boards over the last 3 years have popped up everywhere and flooded the CPS2 market Worldwide.
- The Capcom Mexico division was known for shotty work, poor service, and even altering boards.
- Phoenix boards don't add value, in some cases they lose value.
- A boards IMO add no value to a sale, they range in price from $15-$30, any higher and they won't sell to a seasoned buyer at all. Most ppl can't give them away.
- Giga Wing is not a rare or limited CPS2 title.

Most of the ppl that commented in this thread own a good size CPS2 collection and know what they are talking about.
For $170 I'd expect an original US Giga Wing in great shape with a new battery and some original art tossed in.

Bare Green in good shape - $120 Max
Bare Blue in good shape - $140 Max

This is my opinion and what I would pay. $170 w/o shipping is a joke to me, especially for a Hispanic board. To even argue with Mainman is just sad.

Wil, Dude guess what? I found a SFZ2A green right here from Kapheen for 100 shipped. How do you like them apples man?

Stop being an ass about it, I've always notice that you come in with high bracket prices and then top that with expensive shipping given that you're in SA. I can understand that you can't help the later fact, but still man, that price is just over the top and just to add more fuel to the fire, no one needs an A board, just price it separately, I mean who wants to pay for the extra baggage when you can get one close by if you don't already have several like most CPS2 enthusiasts.

It's better you learn quick not to act this way towards me man, I mean you no disrespect, I just like to keep things fair for everyone, that is all.

Stay the @#$% away from orange hispanic boards as capcom Mexico/south america was a ghetto ass operation. They would convert one game from another in house using flash roms and then boot them with official capcom encrytion, I call these boards south American specials and they are more predominate then 100 percent original boards with mask roms. Always ask the seller to open the shell up to confirm what you are buying.

Orange mother boards are a bitch to get a hold of, more so then grey mother boards and those are not easily found. They are hard to get ahold of in the sense you have to actually try to find them. Basically if you are selling a orange or grey b board pairing it with a mobo is a must and not a luxury which the seller would think should add value, the B board is useless without the not so easy to come by mobo. I only own one orange and one grey mobo but have a army of green and blue mobo which are a dime a dozen, these are the one that you will have ten just sitting around. Also taking into account you would not have a spare orange/grey mobo to play the board if something happened to your only one decreases desirability of grey/orange board as even the seasoned collector would own only one at average. Orange and grey boards also take up more storage space. The only orange and grey boards immune to color discrimination are AVP and D&D2, I have sold multiple orange copies of these out at blue/green price

My two cent is if his gigawing is 100 percent original with nice label it's worth $120- $130 max factoring in the mobo but not taking into account shipping. Bare board I would say $85-$105 max. I find it really strange there a sudden demand for giga wing on these forums recently. I sold green gigawing boards for $140 shipped and phoenixed in the past. Gigawing blue is less common and can demand $145 unphoenixed and green board are becoming harder to find as they are not so common on the japanese auctions anymore, the ones that are out there are mostly in collectors hands now. Phoenixing in MOST cases in my opinion does add value to a board, you can't guess how many battery damaged b boards i have owned.

I would not pay $170 even for a black gigawing and I actually want one of those. Don't know where to price my complete blue kit at though.

My SFZ 2 Alpha sold for the exact amount that i was asking for, it also had a A-board included and english service menu.

Done. You could have asked for it before instead of being sarcastic.

That's why i wrote original Capcom board, it has all the original Capcom mask roms.

This is not one of those run4border bootlegs that popped up some time ago.

Ppl will want to see the board opened to verify. Just can't trust Hispanic boards unless its from a well-known trusted seller. Just like any Progear or Hyper Anniversary board should have pics of it open to verify its not a boot.

You don't have to agree with my opinion, you could have left the price at $170 and bump it for a year for all I care. I care more about buyers not getting ripped off.

It's probably more difficult in general to get CPS2 stuff in south america, regardless of colors. In his head I'm sure he thinks it's appropriate, and it probably is for his local market. I don't think anyone's stupid enough to put something for sale here knowing it's priced higher than people want to pay. Why waste everyone's time?

On one side I see the seller's point of view, but on the other hand I'm very glad for the community here at n-g.c. Where everyone is looking out for each other and people are very knowledgeable about the subject at hand.

I'm curious... how much you think they are worth ?

Regarding orange boards... they are generally in really bad condition as well. I have no idea what they do to the boards down there.

I only have one a+b orange in my collection :lolz: One's enough!

I was never sarcastic, I genuinely thought Gigawing went up that much until I realized it was you who had it for sale. You're free to ask for whatever price you might see fit just like I'm free to say otherwise if I feel like it and I'm not even mentioning the MVS carts you have for sale out there, not even VMlunatic or princess Isabel who price everything high are near your mark.

There's no need to act this way man, just be fair, it really is that simple.

Depends, to me its worth collecting because I can phoenix it myself to someone else it might be a liability because if I'm not the only one who can do it then the others out there are not advertising their ability to do so. I throw out a $100 for a working one and $40 for a dead one.
