So guys
Now for sale is this excellent Capcom Q25 Grand Am candy cabinet for 825.00. Includes brand new sanwa/seimitsu sticks and buttons (100.00). In addition-- I will sell any arcade board listed in my selling thread to the buyer of the cabinet for half off the listed price... take your pick.
http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=207402&referrerid=14817

The cabinet is in excellent condition, side art unblemished and only a few paint specks missing here and there. Still has the original 25" Nanao tube and chassis and the picture is really excellent! Absolutely zero burn in whatsoever and nice pure colors. This cabinet, for those who do not know features a very cool control panel wiring unlike anything I have ever seen that pulls off the cabinet and connects via a unique wiring block. The cabinet is wired for both CPS1 *and* CPS2/3 kick harnesses and require no swapping of wiring under the CP when switching between the two. In addition, it has a Qsound amp and RCA connectors as well as Svideo inputs all inside the cabinet alongside the Jamma harness making it really easy to work with. The speakers even on normal Jamma sound amazing on this thing. This cabinet does not have the rotation device like some of them do but it is a piece of cake to rotate by yourself. Im not a big guy and I am able to physically rotate it without lying it on its back or anything like that. There are pegs that hold the monitor up and the back of the cabinet allows plenty room to do this without fear of catching it up on something.

If anyone is interested please feel free to PM me. Not really looking to ship this cabinet unless i decided to sell it outright and even then the buyer will have to arrange all details and assume all liability for that. I am located in Oakland, CA-- if someone was willing to trade or buy even as far away as socal.. Im sure we could work something out.

Are you sure that that wire is a working s-video input? It might just be a standard pc (ps2) keyboard cable. Maybe some boards use that. If you follow the wires they lead to a box in the back of the cab. One cable says input and the other says output (on the circuit board they both connect to.

Maybe this has been discussed before. I wouldn't mind finding out what it's for myself.

interesting information-- thanks dude! Honestly I never even tried hooking anything up to it and instead made an assumption. Im going to check that out tomorrow.. and I certainly do not think this has been discussed before so thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Ill be sure to post my finding here and anyone else who has owned one of these who might know should certainly chime in.

I'd love getting that cabinet Tango, it is incredible. When I visited the Capcom office in Osaka, they had one just like that (or at least very similar, I need to check teh picts from that trip).

I guess my Strider was played on that cab sometimes ^^ Bump for a great seller.

Free bump. Wow, there's been some really fun and interesting threads on here lately about stuff like this amazing cabinet, and the inner workings of other cabinets people have bought and sold on here. I love to see this stuff!

Looking at the manual for my Q25 those PS2 style plugs seem to be communication plugs for games like Super Turbo to link to another machine. You should have 2 of them.

It was great! I went with a local video game magazine. They received us with open arms and were the company that treated us the best, we felt right at home. we went there for an interview with the staff of Resident Evil Outbreak.

I set up a flickr album with some pics form the trip, I guess it is no problem doing so since they were so open with us taking pictures of the stuff around their office. Hope you enjoy them.

This site is weird, When i'm signed in I can't access anyone's Profile page or certain other areas. But if i'm not logged in I can?

Anyways, I see you have other people interested in the cab as well but I still want it too as long as price is reasonable.

Artemio; thanks for posting those pics man-- they are excellent! Must have been alot of fun... I cant even imagine. Kind of like the pilgrimage to mecca eh?

Dubs-- trade me for that nice ass Windy you got homey ;)

KaPH33n- you can email me through my profile if you have not gotten the PM issue sorted out.

Thanks for all the interest guys-- It does not seem like a trade will be happening so I am going to be listing it for sale outright in the next couple of days. Need to sniff around first and make sure I can find another cabinet before that though. If anyone would like to make offers in the meantime-- feel free.

Thanks dudes!

Tango, Still can't figure it out? This is making me look dumb, but I swear I'm not :P

I'm a freaking software engineer and I can't figure out how to email or send a PM on this thing?! There's like no button to hit that says message, PM, or mail. When you guys send a PM how do you normally do it? Go to their profile page first?

edit: i figured it out! i had to post a few times in the non-market areas of the forums to activate my ability to PM :D

I doubt you're interested since you said you want another candy, but I have an NBA Jam Sports Session cab (no pcb, just cab) I can trade or trade + money. Otherwise I'm open to straight purchase.

UP UP  and away for this great seller - BUMP Please

I can't believe that this cab hasn't been snapped up yet. What are you guys waiting for? Class dude here with a killer item for trade or sale. In fact, I would have already bought this or trade something, but for I have way too many arcades taking up all household space! Just think, you could score this cab and load it with progear! Yeah, now were talkin! tlh

Maybe I can't PM because I'm a new member? And that's also maybe why when I post it sometimes says your post needs to be approved by a moderator and won't be seen until then?

I guess that means you're not interested in the NBA Jam cab then, huh. Oh well. If you want to email me a price, I'll probably bite. I can rent a uhaul or something and come pick it up since I'm local.

okay guys-- posted a price in the first post. Lets get this thing sold. I will only hold the cabinet for established members on here.

Starting it out at 825.00-- keep in mind the buttons are all literally brand new as of a week ago and I have only played on them once. That accounts for 100 of the price tag.

In addition-- I will sell anyone of the boards I have listed for half off to the whomever buys the cabinet. Take your pick from the list here....

no problem. I will try to sell it on craigslist or something, since I won't be needing it anymore.
