Front Mission 2089 (DS) Trailer!

It seems to be based on a very improved version of the Front Mission 1st' engine. And it have a big focus on the story, so it's not sound like a side story (as usual in handhelds), but a full-fledged chapter of the series.

Oh, and a Blue Dragon game is coming to DS, for you Toriyama fans out here:

Speaking of Front Mission DS, I saw it go for $20 at my Best Buy, just a heads up for anyone who was interested.

I got kind of bored with Front Mission DS, I'm not sure why. I loved Front Mission 3 on PSX and 4 on PS2. This one does look pretty cool though. Square-Enix is promoting the hell out of both this title and the new Star Ocean release for PSP here. I would imagine both will get released Stateside, as lucrative as the handheld market is.

I'd kill for a port of Front Mission: Gun Hazard by the way..

There's an English language ROM out there, I have it on my PC at home. I love the 2D sidescroller mecha games and wish there were more of them. I know about EX Ranza, Assault Suits Valken (aka Cybernator), Front Mission Gun Hazard and Metal Warriors from Konami. Are there any other really good ones I'm missing out on?

The boss in the second screen shot looks the exact same as the first boss in Assault Suits Leynos 2, I think...or at least, highly similar design.

On a side note, thanks for reminding me about Cybernator -- I'll never forgive Konami's censored localization.

I also left out Assault Suits Leynos for Saturn, which is a pretty good game to check out. I wouldn't mind a translated .iso at all, but that won't happen ever..
