Thats right I was leaving my apartment, and no more than 2 blocks away I see a dedicated Destruction Derby cabinet chillin on the curb. The side art is in tact, and near mint. Much to my surprise, the cabinet was complete on the inside too (minus a monitor). All of the PCB's and wiring were all intact. With little to no effort, this classic beauty should be up and running in no time :)

Oh yeah its the standup 2 player version, not the 4 player version.

cmon bill you got to post pics congrats anyways!

I've got the pics in my Moto Razor, however I just got the damn thing like 2 days ago and haven't figured how to transfer pics off of it without using blue tooth or email...

This isn't my cab, but it looks exactly the same:

haha you forgot to mention the ass hats that had a 13" TV with NES hookups rigged inside of it.

Good job saving a cab from certain doom!

OH yeah there was a random Sega Saturn Arcade stick and a Saturn AV cable on the inside too. Mind you the back was screwed on this cab, so i'd venture to guess they weren't just tossed in there before they dumped the cab.

The funniest thing is the 13" TV inside where the monitor should go had a freakin NES RF Adapter hooked to it. WTF? There wasn't even a spot for an NES or a place for the controllers to exit the cab. Dumbasses....

Anyhow, the cab is really nice. I just learned the ins and outs of it last night. The PCBs are all flawless. I'm guessing the previous owner had the monitor die, and gave up on attempting to fix it. Hopefuly destruction derby is a fun game, either way, can't argue with free, near complete cabs. When I'm not lazy, i'll snap some pics and post em here.

i think the government left it there so you'd take it. they intend to spy on you in a collaborated stake out with Major League Baseball...they're watching...

hell of a find. I scored a classic Defender cab two years ago that was incredibly close to mint for free. nothing quite like the feeling of getting free shit unexpectedly.
