Former AES owners, what games did you have before you moved on?

One of the more interesting topics I like to read is what games collectors had before they sold out (or just stopped) and moved onto the MVS/Neo CD/etc. I see a lot of commonality in the titles everyone owned since the AES is the hardest option to collect. Maybe I'll find a good neat game that's easy to purchase? Please list what you had (or have if collecting has slowed down for you.)

I fall into the 'slowed down to a crawl' camp of AES owning. I hope to never have a reason to sell off, but I haven't felt the need to obtain any other games.

Currently I own:

NAM-1975
Top Player's Golf
Riding Hero
Magician Lord
Ninja Combat
Blue's Journey
Fatal Fury
Fatal Fury 2
Fatal Fury Special
Samurai Shodown II
Metal Slug 2
Metal Slug 3
Garou: Mark of the Wolves
King of Fighters 2002

Right now the only AES games I've sort of wanted are King of the Monsters 2 and Thrash Rally, but they're a bit too expensive to bother with at the moment.

I still have a good amount of homecarts even though most of my carts are mvs.

English:

Aero Fighters 2
Bang Bang Busters
Fast Striker
Ghost Pilots
Gunlord
King of the Monsters 2
Magician Lord
Mutation Nation
NAM-1975
Viewpoint

Japanese:

2020 Super Baseball
Fire Suplex
Fatel Fury Special
Galaxy Fight
Joy Joy Kid
KOF 94
League Bowling
RBFF
RBFF Special
Sam Sho 2
Sam Sho 3
Top Hunter
World Heroes 2 Jet

The choice is solely price based. I choose whichever version that I can buy for the cheapest price.

Same. I'll never sell, but I'm pretty much done buying for my AES. There's still some carts I would love to get, but they're well above what I'm willing to pay. Not gonna get suckered into that, I'll just wait till their bubbles pop and become reasonable again. Plenty of other ways I can get my fix in the meantime while I wait. At present, I've got;

The King of Fighters 94
The King of Fighters 95
The King of Fighters 96
The King of Fighters 97
The King of Fighters 2000
Samurai Shodown
Samurai Shodown 2
Samurai Shodown 3
Art of Fighting
Art of Fighting 2
Art of Fighting 3
Fatal Fury
Fatal Fury 2
Fatal Fury Special
Real Bout Fatal Fury
Magician Lord
The Super Spy
Nam 1975
Riding Hero
Ninja Combat
Baseball Stars
Blue's Journey
World Heroes
World Heroes 2
World Heroes 2 Jet
Alpha Mission 2

My MVS converter got me everything else I was unwilling to pay homecart prices for. I'd still like to have homecarts of course, but when Mutation Nation goes for 500$+, time to give up on that pipe dream.

I haven't moved on either, but my collection is pretty much made up of the cheaper AES games. Still, there are plenty of great games in there so I don't mind not being able to pick up the more expensive games. That's what the MVS converters are for.

My AES collection consists of one title: NAM-1975. The pack-in game with the gold system I bought.

I've only had MVS for a couple of years, but stopped collecting AES about ten years ago.

My collection of boxed JP homecarts:

King of Fighters 94-2002
Fatal Fury 3
Real Bout Fatal Fury
Real Bout Special
Real Bout 2
Last Blade 2
Fighters History Dynamite
Thrash Rally
Joy Joy Kid
World Heroes 2 Jet
World Heroes 2 (no box)
Double Dragon (no box)

I buy carts to play, so I don't think I'd buy any more AES in the future. I guess KOF 2003 would be nice to finish the set though

I only had my AES collection for about 1 year before selling it all to get MVS carts instead.
If I had the money I would have loved to have kept my AES stuff but it's just too much money for me.

I had the following home carts. All complete except two which were missing manuals (most were Japanese versions).
I had spent about $2,300 CAD on the whole thing (including my shipping costs).
I sold the entire collection to a huge retro video game collector in Sweden.

Art of Fighting
Art of Fighting 2
Baseball Stars Professional
Blue's Journey
Cross Swords
Cyber Lip
Eightman
FATAL FURY (Garou Densetsu)
Fatal Fury 2
Fatal Fury Real Bout Special
Fatal Fury Special
Fighters History Dynamite
Fire Suplex (3 Count Bout)
Ghost Pilot
King of the Fighters 94
King of the Fighters 95
King of the Monsters 2
Magician Lord
NAM-1975
NEO GEO AES Console
NEO GEO AES Joystick
NEO GEO AES Memory Card NEO-IC8
Ninja Combat
Riding Heroes
Samurai Spirits
Samurai Spirits 2
Sengoku
Super Baseball 2020
The Super Spy
World Heroes
World Heroes 2 Jet

All the money (and more!) went into my MVS collection and I now have 74 carts.
Been playing Mutation Nation lately and I love it! The mechanics are a bit simple but I'm enjoying the game a lot. Still can't beat level 3 on MVS difficultly with default home mode credits.

I still didn't have to sell any and will try not to.

The last game I am getting is Razion. My current AES collection is (all JAP)

Samurai Spirits 2
Art of Fighting 2
Kabuki Klash
KOF 94
KOF 96
KOF 97
KOF 98
KOF 99
KOF 2000
KOF 2002
Real Bout Special
SVC Chaos
Power Instinct Matrimelee

The ones I really wanted were totally out of my budget, so I got a MVS converter and started finishing my collection with these. Wanting all the Metal Slug and such is just silly on AES :(
