My local 7-11 is tun by some very nice Indians.

I was a regular at this 7eleven in Pittsburgh. Banana fight got out of hand. Yubaraj did nothing wrong!

"The fight started when a man threw a banana at employees and they threw it back. Court documents say several bananas were thrown back and forth between the man and the employees. The man punched one of the employees in the face. One of the employees, Yubaraj Budhathoki, allegedly chased the man into the parking lot and hit him in the head repeatedly with a piece of PVC pipe."

I have said this before, and I'll say it again, but unlimited drink refills are an American institution and must be protected at all costs.
Unfortunately the low trust actions of some parts of our society are now ruining it for the rest of us. You can have nice things with a high trust society... But if it is abused too much then the nice things are taken away.

Yeah, like lifty posted most of the McDonalds have removed the self service soda fountains. Most will still refill them if you ask but some operators aren't allowing it, and in my experience you have to wait up front for 5 to 10 minutes to even get an employee to come to to front to see what you need.

Of course, other than the occasional breakfast burrito I don't really go there much anymore so it doesn't matter a great deal personally. I'm just worried it will set a dangerous precedent. I mean, what if there was no more unlimited Baja Blast?

I havent actually walked into a McDonalds in quite a while, but I definitely have seen how there's no one manning the front counter anymore, and its even down to like one register. Everything is that self service ordering system. TBH that doesn't bother me too much, but refills of coca cola are refills of coca cola, man.

We order it for lunch sometimes when we are both busy working and dont have time to stop down and prepare a lunch at home, so we get it Doordash or whatever its called so refills really don't come into play.

Still tho - I agree. Precendent.

The place I work at (Peter Piper Pizza) has unlimited refills on a purchased cup on the same visit and it most likely not changing anytime soon. Course we charge 2.89 for the cup so for that price, you'd better take advantage of it ;)

Just FYI, I can no longer find the court record for it online. I'm hopeful that means it was dropped/dismissed? It was in there a while though, so I don't know why I don't see anything at all. He is in there again though for a traffic citation for something like 'obstructing traffic' (not sure the whole abbreviation) that he submitted a guilty plea for.

Australian Taco Bell has Baja Blast and they have free refills. If I ever wonder what it's like to have diabetes, gout, and arrhythmia, I know where to go.

I'm curious what will happen to those who destroyed that school bus.
