I have just seen screenshots of this game, and they actually look faily good for an older game. Does anyone have any experience with the gameplay? It is nice to see a side scrolling football game again.
Also, how about other sports games on MVS?
Street Hoops, League bowling, Turf Masters, etc.--how do the sports games play?
Thanks.

It's decent and you can get it for a good price as I have a copy for sale for $40 + shipping. Everything is new or like new except for the case.

It is a decent game for the price, I would not say it is one of he better games on the system but overall it is decent.

Whoa... I think I should make a clarification: If you're looking for sort of realistic football action, you may be disappointed. Football Frenzy is an okay rendition of arcade football, but nothing worth writing home about. The Neo Geo Soccer games, particularly the Super Sidekicks series, are excellent

I lost interest in it. It might be a good game but I just could not get into it.

It's kind of weird for an arcade football game. Instead of scrolling up and down like most football games this one scrolls from left to right. It just feels to weird playing considering I'm used to playing football games like Blitz, Madden, NFL2k.

Heheh.... I guess you were never a Tecmo Football fan then. That ones has always been a horizontally scrolling football game.

Football Frenzy is an ok game. It is better as a two player challenge however. You do not call plays on defense. On offense, you choose from several different pass, run and of course there is the kicking option.

Street Hoops is a lot of fun if you like street style Basketall. I really like League Bowling, it was one of my 1st Neo Geo purchases for the AES. You can't go wrong with Windjammers!

OK I saw Street Hoops in this thread... man that is a damn fun Basketball Game... and I love the early 90s Rap music in it... "This is three on three street basketball!" I usually stick that game in for short amounts of time... but I keep going back to it!

i think league bowling is one of the most under-rated games for neo... i seriously play that game everyday... that and puzzle bobble. great two player games.

I didn't care for Football Fury too much as I played it more recently than when it first came out. As for Street Hoops, it's more like NBA Jam without the digitized graphics and NBA players. Most people call it a clone, but I pretty much enjoyed it as it reminded me of that movie White Men Can't Jump. I still wish that there was a Boxing game with graphics and gameplay that only the Neo could satisfy me with. Legend of Sucess Joe was like shitty.
