I like that they put the emphasis on NOT throwing away food in this gameplay video. It teaches children an important lesson and highlights the basic theme of this game.

It would be cool to see other Atari Games conversions to the Neo Geo like Marble Madness, Peter Pack Rat, 720°, Rampart , Paperboy, and Roadblasters to name a few :D

I dunno why you fogots have to be so negative about someone putting in time to write things for the Neo-Geo for fun. That's not the person charging 69420 francs for MVS cartridges:

I have no problem with people who port any game to Neo, more games = more fun, so that's fine with me. I just mentioned it to stay away from the unproductive ports discussion. I know I'm guilty of that meself but I'm learning.

This here is about having fun and I'm quite capable of differentiating between this and people who are mostly in it for the money by cashing in on collectors who just want another pretty spine on their shelf.

That said, greed is wrong but somehow I don't really care if they try to sell it for lotsa $$$ either coz it takes two to tango, one greedy fuck and someone with more money than brains, and if there's one thing that's a complete waste of time, it's trying to change a moneygrubber or talk sense into people who have a wad of cash burning a hole into their pockets.

This port got me to try the game after years of ignoring it and it's a fun title. Graphically, someone skilled enough could always hack in backgrounds and touch up the sprites. Gfx look fine for their era though, imo.

I enjoy the game as well.

I was never an Atari kid, so I don’t have that connection to them compared to others that may have had a 2600 on up, but it is one game on the 7800 I will play on my Ana pocket from that core.

In our house growing up we started with the NES, and got an SMS a couple of years later. The Atari 2600 was always that mysterious console that a few of the neighbors had. I remember one friend had a 2600 but we couldn't try it because they said their dog had chewed the (very thin) PSU cable. Back then you had a Nintendo, a Sega or an Atari.

In the 00's I got an Atari 7800 with about 18 common boxed games for my brothers and I to share one xmas. We also had a handful of loose 2600 carts we'd had laying around, but never played, that were picked up in random lots of games. I have good memories of spending that holiday with my brothers experiencing that early 80's arcade-at-home vibe of Atari consoles with an RF switch. Those NIB games we'd seen at the dollar store in the late 90's were suddenly less mysterious. We also then modded the 7800 for S-video.

Also, I remember that was the same year Lexus had that "best gift ever" commercial featuring the Atari 2600.

I had a friend that had an Atari and I remember playing combat on it nothing else.

I had a neighbor friend that had baseball on the Intellivison and that was a blast. I tried to play that on the collection on ps1 and that was a no go for me but at the time I had fun with it.

My Uncle had a Coleco and that was the one I really wanted. I loved the look of those games.

NES was my first console I did have an epoch space shooter I think called Astro Command tabletop I used to play before that I loved but that was it for something I had personally.

It's jank! If you like that, let me introduce you to a little gem called Barnyard Blaster. It's prime jank, guaranteed to bring you back to playing Apple II in the school computer lab.
