My A2 HBAR with M9 Bayonet.

Added a Magpul MOE grip, Magpul trigger guard, BCM Gunfighter Charging handle.

I don't like the standard grip. The placement of the nub just doesn't work for me. I don't mind something that has finger grooves like the Hogue grips. Those are solid grips also.

The MOE grip with the standard trigger guard was killing my index finger, with the new trigger guard that issue is fixed.

How do you like the Ergos? Those are my personal favorites. The Hogue AK grip is really great too, feels incredibly solid.

Have not tried those ergo grips. The Hogue AK grips are indeed awesome.

Glad to hear that about the Hogue grips...I'm using that as the basis of a pistol grip conversion for the .223 Saiga.

That's a clean AR...you're making me want to build a rifle length mil-sepc model...

On a side (but shooting related) note...I'm gearing up for the Memorial Day shootout...I bought a new camera (took back the Nikon L120) that will do 240fps slo-mo...I can't wait to see how it comes out with shooting vids...

Yeah...I do the "Memorial Day Shootout" but once a year so I'm breaking out all the big guns. I also take along some fun stuff to shoot that I normally don't use (melons, full soda cans, water jugs, etc)...I've really been looking forward to see if this slo-mo stuff will look good...

Speaking of slow-mo here is a pretty cool vid of a Mateba at 1200 fps

Also what brand ammo do you guys like and where do you usually get it?

Still the same ol for me.

Gen 3 G19, although I'm currently going through paperwork for an 18.

Mossberg 500 pistol grip "old reliable"

And other guns I can't mention here ;)

I usually buy ammo online at various vendors:

Cheaper than Dirt
Ammo to Go
MidwayUSA

I monitor two local stores websites for when they have a sale on ammo and I'll pick up good deals locally on occasion.

I shoot a lot of whatever is on sale, but brands I frequent are PMC and Wolf.

Did UMC become PMC?

Or is it a totally different brand?

If it's not, you should try UMC, its real reliable ammunition for having fun with.

Not sure.

Only ammo I have ever had a problem with is Tula ammo in .223 - I had issues with it cycling my 20" AR. None of my friends had issues in their ARs though.

Ammo huh?

At the moment all I have are 9mm, .223, 12ga, .22LR and .38 special/+P guns so I only need those calibers.

I mostly get ammo online but I do find good deals from time to time locally. Anymore, I do not buy hardly anything at full price...I see a sale and I normally buy big. I used to feel bad doing this dropping big chunks of change at once but when I added up how much I spend over time in small amounts, it comes out to 2-3 times as much.

I got 1000 rounds of .223 55gr Silver Bear for $234 shipped...that's $4.68/box for ammo that usually runs $8-10 locally (not it's not Brown Bear...the lower line). I had another score last fall when I nabbed 1000 rds of .223 55gr Fiocchi for $295 shipped...that was $5.90/box for some good new brass ammo...

9mm I have a more difficult time getting my hands on some cheap quality stuff. I've been nabbing up overrun 9mm NATO surplus for $11/50rds locally, I've managed to put back 850 rds of it so far. I'm saving this stuff as my SHTF ammo as it's hotter than standard ball and has sealed primers for long term storage. I'm currently searching to find a good 9mm bulk buy but I'm having trouble. I can get Federal "champion" FMJ 9mm at a local Wal Mart for $10.25/50rds...that's $205/1000 and for new brass, it's had to find much better anywhere online. Steel cased stuff isn't that much cheaper and the unfinished cases are difficult to load in a magazine...not really worth it.

I managed to get my hands on 3000 rds of good CCI Blazer .22LR for a small discount so I'm good on that.

Like most revolver rounds, .38 spcl and +P aren't cheap...unless you get pure shit rounds. I don't shoot the revolver much so i guess this is ok in my book. When I can get a $10 of $50 Midwayusa coupon I normally buy up then.

These sites often help:

http://gun-deals.com/ammo

*EDIT*
I also shoot 7.26x54r...forgot about that one...

I need to stock up on 7.62x39 as well...I have a feeling an AK is next on my list...

UMC is Remington's lower tier ammo...PMC is Korean...

*EDIT*
I'm gearing up for my "great buck shoot-off" this summer. My FN TPS is internally choked for buck so I'm gather the best buck from around the world (not actually) to test them out for recoil and spread in a defensive situation. So far I have:

-Winchester buffered 9 pellet 00 Buck military over-run
-Winchester Supreme 3 pellet buck/slug combo
-Winchester Super-X 9 pellet 00 buck
-Federal Vital-shok buffered copper plated 9 pellet 00 buck
-Federal Self Defense low recoil 9 pellet 00 Buck
-Hornady TAP 9 pellet 00 Buck (original issue black box)
-Hornady TAP LE low recoil 8 pellet 00 buck
-Hornady Critical Defense 9 pellet 00 buck
-Hornady TAP light Mag 8 pellet 00 buck
-Centurion double ball buckshot
-NobelSport LE 12 pellet 00 buckshot

I still need to pick up:

-Fiocchi reduced recoil 9 pellet 00 buck
-Winchester WinLite 9 pellet 00 buck

I'm going to post a video of these beating the shit out of me and pictures of the spread damage. Pertty much useless but its a hobby, what can I say. I DO NOT look forward to my shoulder being abused...that damn FN is brutal.

on that note...I am giving serious though to trading the FN in on a Benelli M4 Tactical model. I'm not kidding when I say the FN is brutal. It's lightweight, has a straight back stock and is a pump. The idea of a lighter recoil semi auto seems pretty attractive at the moment, that FN will literally bruise me (it beat the holy hell out of my buddy last time he shot it).

We'll see.....

*EDIT #2*

Fuck this motherfucking rain...

I swear to God almighty, it's not going to be the gun laws or taxes that forces me from this fucking state...its going to be the weather. We have been getting dumped on since Tuesday. We've managed to break all kinds of weather records but all of them have been for shit weather. Coldest temp in history for a given day, daily rainfall records, monthly rainfall records, yearly snowfall records...it has been miserable...for some time.

I want to get out and pop some holes in paper but it just keeps storming and has been for 6 days straight...AAAARG!!!...this is driving me nuts!

Sorry to hear that man...

Not to brag but it was GOOD! .22LR, 9mm, .223, 12ga, .45 auto, .38 special/+P...the rounds were FLYING today. I feel easy saying I personally put 750 rounds of .22LR downrange alone...(500+ through my M&P 15-22)

My brothers came out and brought their firearms as well...it was a blast. That fucking dueling tree paid for itself today, what a blast.

I'm currently uploading the 60+ videos I took, many in slow motion...when I do some work on them I'll post some up here, I can't wait to see how they turned out. I can 100% say my M&P 15-22 was singlehandedly one of the best firearm purchases I've ever made. It is a blast to shoot, feels just like an "AR lite" and is dirt cheap trigger time...everyone that has shot mine either buys one for themselves or make nothing but compliments about it. I love it, and the shooting experience is NOTHING like the Ruger 10/22...I know I've heard it time and time again but it simply is not comparable.

EDIT..

Fuck...those faggots over at youtube keep pegging my background music and blocking it for use in the US...I may have to put it up silent if they don't stop...

I give up...enjoy it silently...it was way cooler with the soundtrack but fuck Youtube...

I have some 240 fps footage I'm going to get loaded up but I have to say...that shit makes me look BAD...it's amazing how slow motion video will point out every flaw in your shooting form...
