We also had the 3D Printed 5.56 Gatling Gun, The SK-X rifle project, 3D printed titanium knives, 37mm SLS printed "flare" launchers, and my flamethrowers.
I was really stoked to have been scouted to join this group a few months ago.
@Lagduf PSA showed off their 50 cal prototype that is supposed to only be a few grand. That will be interesting... Mark Serbu came by the booth and talked about his 50 cal and what happened with kentucky ballistics

Yes. It depends on how you get it built. It would be a pistol but that flippable stock would need it to be an SBR. I am not a lawyer, but I think the process would be 1) get the parts kits 2) assemble as a pistol 3) File for your ATF Form 4) receive tax stamp for SBR, Attach the stock
Speaking of SMG / SBRs
New range toy I picked up since I don't live in a free state and can't get the AP5 MP5 clone and the MP5 is flat out banned by name. GSG-16 MP5 clone in 22LR. Even though it meets the federal length of 26" fully collapsed the shop is pin and welding it at it's maximum length so the stock can't close anymore. I'm thinking about filing a form 1 to get it as an SBR and then replacing the stock with a new collapsible one, and replacing the barrel with a 9" barrel so I can put a suppressor on it. They made this as a stockless pistol with a 9" barrel too but I can't get those in my state and they discontinued the replacement barrels so finding that is also hard so I'll have to have a gunsmith shorten and thread it.
