I struggle to get on board with the cultural appropriation rage. The line between appropriation and appreciation seems to be so fine that I'm comfortable people are just using it to whinge their cunts off about nothing.
i wasn't being serious. none of it offends me.

I thought we were just talking about blackface, mostly - which in North America is racist.

I think Norton was right earlier when he said people make cultural faux pas all the time. While the intent was not racist and was done unknowingly, you really can’t market a product in the USA that has “KKK” in it.

Yeah, you can't use the word "rot" either without getting banned for insolence

In time you’ll be able to launch a product with three K’s in it, but not now - in America the very real legacy of black boys and men getting lynched in the night by groups of white sheet wearing white men still persists. The legacy of the KKK in America is very real.

Symbols do change in meaning over time but we aren’t there yet.

It's not a product, it's just the name of a web site that sells other company's products. While this was the first time I ordered from them, I was aware of their existence prior to this drama and just thought brickKK was a silly way to spell the word, Ku Klux Klan never even crossed my mind. I'm used to putting extra "S"s on Cobra Commander quotes and shit like that, so improper double and triple consonant usage is acceptable wordplay to my mind.

I know I mentioned Rudyard Kipling and white man's burden as it applies to Pears Soap ads.

I also used have a collection of his works from 1900 with Swastikas on them.
Not mine but like this one:

It sucks that the Nazis ruined the swastika.
Racists ruin everything.
