Finally i've beaten ignis!

I used iori and defeat him.It was great.I tried playing cheap with iori blocking all his attacks and turtling him.I guess thats the only way out.There miight be other ways as well.I tried jumping behind him and he does that uppercut move.When he misses it,i quickly go in for the kill.I did this many times.I also tried hopping back and throwing out a lot of his fireballs(dark thrust).

Tis is a rare occasion for me to post in here after all i am a fighting master, but forgive me for being a but dim here but is ignis from kof2001 as i have all the others and not heard of him/her and dont know much abou that game, and thius is ther king of fighters forum, so tell me gans, is it a good game if it is kof2001 you talk of, i liked 94 98 and99 but do not like 2000 much
hardly ever play it, so what is it like in comparison?

Kof 2k1 has a little of that kof 2k feeling.Heh,now there is no striker abuse like in kof 2k.The graphics are pretty good.There are a lot of people cheering in the backgrounds,kinda like kof 97.There are some improvements made to iori especially those deady flower follow-ups which now has more options.Daimon and heidern are back.There are some new fighters added such as k9999,mei li(jhun's replacement),angel and foxy.Super cancelling has been enabled.There is no counter or armour mode.Kof 2k1 is a pretty good game.The final boss,Ignis is very well animated and not to mention powerful.He is very cool looking as well.

Are there any secret characters?
how many backdrops?
is there a nice story mode?
Are there some cool animated sequences?

There are 2.Sub-boss,original zero and Ignis.

Are there any secret characters?
No.

how many backdrops?
I have not counted the no. of backgrounds.

is there a nice story mode?
Yes.

Are there some cool animated sequences?
Dunno?.This is only my 4th time playing the game.

You gotta love kof 99 for its secret iori character and its done with class, i thought the mid scene intros in kof 2000 lacked the color and gloss of the 99 version,
I can actually afford to buy kof2001 right now but if i do i lose half of my savings and i might not even like it...lol

I haven't played kof2k1 yet but it looks like a silly game to me...it takes one step foward and two steps back IMO....Just a lot of things i don't like about...Though i will admit ingis does look pretty cool.

Man he screws me no matter what, he did a anti air infinity on my ass via corner.
Igniz takes some skill to beat, original Zero is easy, just go one on one and poke like a fucker with Benimaru.

Igniz creeps me out, I always choke once a DM starts up. Getting to him isnt a problem, beating him is a different story.

I thought the only plan was jump over (if you can make it past his anti air then roll through and get him from the back.)

I have not experienced that anti-air infinity by igniz yet.Most of the time he does a DM or sometimes that infamous SDM after you missed a move.He beat my kyo with a DM after i missed that oniyaki.I have only beaten him once,maybe by luck.I did played the game yesterday and igniz completely screwed me up.He defeated all my fighters.

Running towards him is not a good idea.

LOL Is running towards any boss ever a good idea?
I agree he is that damn good.
He is cheesey and that kicks ass.
