The game isn't total shit, but its just not up to the level I would expect from a Neo shooter. The levels look and play all the same. It gets repetitive really fast.

This really sounds like you did play the game three times with credit feed and put it back on the shelf. Don't judge a game you didn't play thoroughly, especially not an arcade game. You could say this ("look and play the same") about almost every shooter you just credit-feeded a couple of times.

The game has its qualities like scoring, sound and boss design. There are some major flaws like boring backgrounds and the slight homebrew'ish feeling, but it's still a really good game. Playing it on maniac is a lot of fun if you try mastering the scoring system. Which, judging by the online highscore ranking, next to nobody has ever succeeded in.

Just the fact a company is keeping the neo games alive is worth it in my opinion to support them. Gameplay is solid and features amazing graphics and soundtrack. I cant believe im playinjg this on the mvs, graphics are amazing. in my opionion atleast.

Imho, this game is the beginning of a new era for the neo. It worth the money, specially if you think you're supporting future releases.

There is money to be made, even if they do take a year to sell another batch.

I spoke with them via email a few months back and they said there is likely going to be another run of Last Hope and Gunlord on MVS, but Fast Striker may not get another run due to the specialized PCB and how expensive it was to do the first time. I really hope they consider doing another batch, because out of the three, Fast Striker is on my most wanted list. I didn't even really pay attention to these games when they first went on sale and missed the boat completely, but I'd pick up Fast Striker from them on MVS if they do make another run of them. Let's hope.

Same here. Fast striker MVS came and went fast & during a time when NG : DEV had much less exposure than they do now, so I think a lot of people missed out. A second print run would probably sell out.

IIRC there were quite a bit of people posted that they wanted to hold off buying until release of the homecart version of Fast Striker.

+1 from me as well.
I would love to buy Fast Striker for MVS.
That game looks sweet and I'm bummed that I missed out.

Fast Striker needs a different ROM configuration to our other games and thus is risky to reprint. We would need at least 25 fully pre-paid orders @ 350 EUR to pull this off...

@NG:DEV.TEAM: What about the DC version of it? Is there an online store with the game in its stock?

Maybe this one is a candidate for a Kickstarter? Set the price at what you need and let's see if it gets funded.

You lose 10% of your money with kickstarter. Also they've set a bunch of new rules lately about kickstarter projects that appear to be "stores."

Benefits, tradeoffs.

I'd be willing to pre-order it.
Perhaps we should start a poll on how many people are willing to pre-order the game for MVS?

I'm thinking that NG: DEV.TEAM might have new potential customers that they didn't have last year. For example, I just started getting into Neo recently when I picked up Analogue Interactive's consolized MVS which I heard about from many major gaming websites 6 months ago. They alone might have brought in an influx of new potential customers (such as me). Plus, Gun Lord was pretty well advertised on many major websites as well, raising awareness of the NG: DEV.TEAM. Anyways, that's my 2 cents.
