I have a KOF 96 and the right edge of the screen jumps around when the characters are moving to the left, and also the men seem 2 get smaller when there right at the edge or the screen(left or right)

Do they all do this?

Also when i opened it, there a little cut out in the chips, where there a little window with some little silver thing in.
Lol very techy explanation eh? <IMG SRC="smilies/loco.gif" border="0">

well assuming the little cut out thingy window you are referring to is on the black chips, then most likely you have a bootleg.

Those sound like flash eeproms...an almost definite sign that you indeed have a fake MVS cart.

You probably bought from "aslan" or Rich from EBAY, because so far every MVS game I bought from him was a bootleg.

Man that is too bad to hear. I have bought 15 or so games from Aslan (rich) and not a single one was a bootleg.

First message

just curious when did u get a kof 96 from us? i dont buy boots so i am
curious how his got ppast me..if u can lmk the date i would appreciate it.

Thats reasuring as im intending 2 get a MOTW from him

Second message

hi
thanks for photo..i still cant tell if boot as one of my supplier tells me
that many of the games were used with eproms..to be honest with you we dont
sell many of this title nor is it expensive enough for us to make ourselves
nuts about it..i do thank u though for the heads up..remind me next time and
i will give u a break on your next cart purchase

I fully recomend this seller, even if it is a Bootleg, hes very helpful and could have told me 2 **** off(i did buy the cart about a month ago), instead he offered the above.

Yes I am surprised that sliped by mdgamesales, they usually check every cart they have ever sold me. I have never recieved a bootleg from them, and they are very know a lot about the subject. Some SNK games did ship with EPROMs, Robo Army is one, I have had two and both had the EPs on original SNK boards.

yeah I've had great customer service with Mike at mdgames as well. They promptly replaced a windjammers MVS cart that went mising in the mail.

I popped open my KOF96 MVS cart out of curiousity and my eproms are of the official solid kind. You either have a bootleg...or somewhere down the line SNK started using flash eproms.
