F**K Orochi Iori!

Man I just hate this char, he's way too overpowered and too fast, here in my local arcade center comes this guy grabs that freaky loser and It would seem that there's no humam being able to knock him off the game... Speed abuse is something irritating.

I play Tabasa, and honestly I consider my level to be remarkable, but hell, This mad Iori comes to crash all of my mastering Dreams. I've hated even from KOF97 since i went thru a similar situation by that time.

But I do agree he is one cheap moron and I hate him..

Here are just some tips I can share on how to use Tabasa/Tessa against him:

Usually every Orochi Iori player would come jumping straight in your face during the start of the match... Use your df+D(Restive kitten) and if it connects, beat him with your Death Phenomenon...
What a way to start a match! lol that would kinda shock most of them actually.

Then you gotta be careful not to jump too much as his kick pretty much counters your jump... but always try to jump with an Inroad Fowl(d+D in air) especially retreating... that always counters his jumps from far too...

Use df+B from time to time when you think he's gonna jump, cos if you do the df+D and he doesnt jump it lags and you're open for combos from him... If it connects you could combo with her tricicle edge(though not always possible)
Reverie sword works OK as an anti air too but it's really nasty if you miss it.

If he lands with a hard kick on you when you're on the ground blocking... be careful and if youre confident enough, do a GFSC and Ascend Proof him... Jamming Ghost then!
Sometimes I do an ascend proof when I know the opponent is bout to land his feet on the ground, and its funny when you see them almost touching the ground but just to be hovered to the air again by Tabasa lol.

So basically... the strat for Tabasa/Tessa against Orochi Iori is... be defensive, watch out for his jumps and counter them, retreat jumps with her Pigeon, use df+D when he jumps in from far(death phenomenon after that!) and GFSC and Ascend Proof when necessary...

I still have problems with him though... he's annoying to the max X_x

Im not a fan of him, or Iori in general, although he is well designed, hes the only 97 character I don't use that well.

Err... Guess the kitten thingy doesnt work, this guy jumps using light kick which most times beats my poor kitty or sometimes both get hit (perhaps my reflects ) then he stands for a lil moment, then he wheter HCB+F C grabs me or low kicks me for an open combo, and sorry that char's just too fast to get to know what he's going to do on time. FUCK IT!!!!

Use Kyo and qcf+A followed by qcf+C the shit out of him over and over, I had this done to me while I was playing as Iori and I got owned. The kid I was playing against was quite skilled though and was owning everyone that stepped up though.

Haha, you kids are whiners. Orochi Iori has weaker attacks than standard Iori, thus sacrifices were made to make him more even. There are way more un-even characters that i'm worried about more......Shin Mr. Karate comes to mind.

Yah, but at least you have the fact that he cant be selected (Unless Dipswitched), and O. Iori might have weaker attacks but what makes him an ass-painy is his speed, no other chara is as fast....
