and in my case.. it was a PREPAYzorro:
yes pre-order problems are the fucking worst thing you can do to someone. I mean why pre-order unless you get the special edition, bonus disk, etc. That's just fucking wrong!
I had that problem too. I bought a GBA game, and it was sealed in the shrink wrap. When I got home and opened it, totally empty. I called up before they closed, and the manager told me to come in the next day and they'll square it away. So I come in the next day, lay down the story, and they're taking care of it. As the guy is getting me the game, he mentions "we should be charging you $5 for this, but I'll let it slide." I didn't say anything, but it's nuts to charge me $5 for their mistake.Kid Aphex:
Even sealed games are lies sometimes.
Believe this story or not:
I bought ghost recon, SEALED.
Brought it home, removed the plastic wrap [not shrink wrap] and removed the STILL INTACT XBOX SEAL ON THE PACKAGE...what do I find? No disc. I call them up, and they say, "Ooops, it was once a store copy, I still have the disc in the drawer."
Excuse me?
If you studied some kind of business psychology, you'll learn that the reason for poor service is a negative dissatisfaction reaction of the worker in the workplace...Lagduf:
I totally agree, i cannot stand poor service in any trade or service.corbo 2:
Yep,a poor service and attiude is not required in any form of trade.Peroid.
It's just the same around here with GAME...but a little better. The people who work thier aren't a load of arseholes.

yeah they probably do. Gamestop lets employees take games home, play them, and bring them back to sell as new.EvilWasabi:
The worst part of EB is the fact that they don't keep DVDs sealed.
I mean, fuck - the employees probably take the binder with all the DVDs home and watch them, then sell them to you as new in the store.
Don't buy from EB.
Let them burn.
I don't need to study business psychology to know i don't like poor service. A customer should never have to put up with the stuff EB does. I don't care if EB employees have the worst job in the world, it still gives them no right to treat a customer poorly.seba_boi:

If you work in a crappy store, there's 99% chance that you'll be feeling crappy and doin' crappy stuff too... I know 'cuz I used to work with tons of them...
How do you feel if you work in EB and hated every hour of it... You must realize the seller's point of view too... Give and Take!...Lagduf:

In virtually any other retail setting, a "display" or open box item is sold at a discounted rate.seba_boi:
Have you worked in retail before?... That's how things work...
No, the consumer is frequently wrong. In addition to being a fucking retarded moron.Lagduf:

Actually Enter The Matrix is really pretty if you have an XBox hooked up to a High Def TV. A game running at 1080i is rather pretty to watch even if it is a repetitive bag of shit. lolabdul:
i preordered soul calibur2, and i still have not goten a call, although i am flat broke, i am gonna go to them and ask for a refund, i will just say i got it somewhere else, and that they were out.
i hate that store, the guy was once like " enter the matrix, is the best game ever!!!!111 buy it now" so i did and i went there and cussed the shit out of him, then i punched the gba sp, display unit and destroyed the screen, and then i ran when i saw the security guard comeing. that game was a piece of shit, i will go to Starland for all my gameing needs buttrock
It is give and take, but it's up to the store employee to take the first step. They are paid to be there. As a customer, we come in as a choice.seba_boi:
