edit: Ok, he cashed out his paypal and never sent me shit. This was a scam!

Ok, I bought a package from dr.r.muckly last week on 8/21. Our communication was good up until I sent him the payment. That was the last time I heard from him, 8 days ago. I checked his profile, and it says he hasn't logged on to this website in 6 days.

Here's a link to the thread: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150042

He told me he would be shipping the games on either Tuesday or Wednesday of last week and would get insurance and a tracking number. I have Pm'd him twice and emailed him once asking for a tracking number, and haven't gotten a reply from him yet.

I've contacted kspiff, annother member who also bought from the same selling thread, and he tells me he hasn't gotten anything either. He also told me he has had the same problem contacting the seller as I have.

Does anyone have any experience dealing with this member? Any past deals?

I hope that this member just hasn't checked his computer recently and shipped the games out when he said he would. Being out of contact for 8 days has started to make me worry though.

Yeah, I've dealt with him before. That was about 3 years ago though, and it went smoothly.

If he hasn't logged on to the site, could be a problem with his personal life, or maybe internet connection. I wouldn't get to worried yet. A week isn't terribly long if some problem has come up for him IRL. Those things happen sometimes in mid-deal.

Hopefully that is the case here, and everything is alright with him too.

I've dealt with him this past year. Communication was great except the day-or-two I couldn't rouse him by phone. Turns out he had fallen ill. But he came through. :)
I wouldn't worry. He was great to deal with. Just doesn't live at his computer--and there's no harm in that at all.

Give it more time. You should be okay.

Cool, thank you both for your responses. They have done a good deal to calm me. Especially yours Qube, if I remember correctly, you are the first member I ever traded with on this forum. Do you remember that weird train game for sega saturn at all? I had some trouble making sense out of that one.

Dr. Muckly mentioned in his sale thread that he is expecting a baby, so a couple small video game transactions probably aren't the biggest things on his mind right now.

Hopefully he is well, and his family is healthy and he will return shortly to answer my messages.

If he shipped the package when he said he would, then it should show up tommorrow or sometime soon, and that would sure make me happy. :)

Oh yeah! Shit, I totally forgot about that game :tickled:

I tried to play it, and couldn't figure shit out, so I passed it on to another member here as a throw in to another deal. Give what you get I suppose!

In fact, I'll leave you some feedback for that deal right now bro. Sorry, I forgot all about that ;)

LOL, thanks for the feedback, I sure wasn't expecting that. That trade was WAY back, I believe it was in the year 2003, way before the feedback system was set up. I'll leave some for you as soon as I finish writing that.

I think I traded something like
Toe Jam and Earl 3 (I remember this clearly)
Soukyugurentai (sat) (probably)
JoJo's Bizzare Adventure (DC) (I think)
and that train game

For WH2J and Cyber Lip both US AES.

Anyways, I'm glad that you gave that game away for free, that was definitely the thing to do with that one. Hopefully the person you gave it gave it to someone else.

Anyways, feedback for you for a 3 year old transaction coming right up!

ok, I still haven't heard from dr.muckly. I opened up one of those paypal disputes 4 days ago and have still to get any reply.

this sucks. I was hoping to have a pocket color system and sonic and MOTM, as well as XMVSF w/ meg cart for saturn, but I'm starting to lose hope.

anyways, if Dr.r. Muckly comes through, I will apollogize for this thread, but a week and a half is a long time to have someones money.

Ok, I have not received the package I paid for, nor have I heard from Dean Lewandowski in any way. I have filed a claim with paypal. I'm not too sure if I will be able to get my money back, or receive my stuff, but I hope I will.

Ok, paypal says they rule in my favor because he never responded to anything. He took the money out of the paypal account and paypal says that they can't do shit for me. What bullshit! I'm gonna see what my CC can do for me. My paypal is linked up through my debit card, but the card has a Visa logo, so hopefully I can do a chargeback.

Shit, and he's a touch guy to beat. You're going to need a full thing of lives so you might as well let the two crazy girls kill you to get a fresh continue.

Well it looks like you and I are in the same boat. I won my claim and even though I used a CC they won't refund my money. Let me know what your CC company says, I may need to try calling mine. This is bull, don't the CC companies and PP have insurance to cover small losses like this?

Paypal has 3% of every single transaction to cover small stuff like this. The way I see it, they don't want to pay us our money back because they are greedy bastards.

Technically, my paypal is linked up to my debit card, so I'm not sure if a chargeback will even work. (never had to do this before) It does have a Visa logo on it though, so maybe it will work, I'm not too sure.

Does anyone know for sure? If you could fill me in I would appreciate it.

bought SF3 Double Impact off him and still no response and no money back...if you ask me I think he is a scammer. I already have notified paypal and expect a refund soon.

damn, I'm sorry to hear that. I saw in his thread that double impact sold, but I couldn't tell who. Sounds like there are at least 3 members who he owes now. According tho the thread he also "sold" a metal gear solid 3 game, but I don't know who to.

Good luck trying to get a refund through paypal. I did that a while ago and I won the dispute and claim, however they wouldn't return any of my money because he has cashed out his paypal account. I would assume they are going to tell you the same thing, although I hope that yours turns out better than that.

He cashed out? Either way its not too bad I had negotiated from 25 to 20 but I thought paypal would charge him anyway and he would have a negative balance, unless he actually closed his bank account and then they can't do anything about it. Just hope he gets banned if he isn't already.

ummm...I don't know anything about his bank account, just that he cashed out his paypal. I don't think paypal is cool enough to actually take $ from his bank just because 3 people say he's swindled them.

Your $20, plus my $65, plus Kspiff's $75 is $160 that this guy has. :(

Man that sucks.

I dealt with him a few years ago and he came through with flying colors. It's sad to see a member go bad like that.

Dude, and go bad for a whopping total of $165? That's pretty pathetic. Need money that bad? Go work at Mc Donalds. But I sure as hell would not put my ass on the line for pocket change like that.

It's such a small amount that, who knows, maybe he will come around and he had no intention of scamming.
