Tonight when I saw the Beastie Boys, in the middle of the show it was black, and the 2 jumbo trons, showed a REALLY old looking, bad VHS copy of a very funny video.

It's a man talking to you about a mattress sale, he walks a bit and the camera zooms out to show that he is on a roof, underneath him is a car with about 5 mattresses on it, he finishes his schpiel and then JUMPS onto the mattresses, the fucker bounces off... of course... and eats it on the ground... then everyone comes running.. It was pretty funny and everyone there had a good laugh...

Mmm, it sounds like the extra bit of footage they shot for Punch Drunk Love as a joke. Is the guy holding a guitar when he jumps? Does the Mattress Man look suspicially like this guy?

If so, the clip's officially called "The Mattress Man Commercial." I don't where you can download it, but it's on the Punch Drunk Love DVD.

No, it doesn't resemble Phillip Seymour Hoffman in the least, although It *sounds* like the thing on Punch Drunk Love is reproducing this Clip...

The clip I saw tonight was VERY OLD looking, and it seemed 100% legit, also the most distinguishable thing about it was the "look", the quality was very bad, and there was much deterioration, it looked like a old VHS tape that had been borrowed, copied, re-copied again, and then doused in Urine....


Still very funny though.
