Do you buy "Limited Edition" versions of games?

Usually these are imports. Do you like to buy them, or do you see it as just another way to get a few extra bucks out of the consumers? Why or why not?

80% of my friends buy import limited editions, mostly DC games like Love Hina, Sakura War, and so on.

I only have DC Eternal Arcadia, Shenmue 1 & 2 limited edition.

The only one I have is GGX LE and the only reason I have it is that is the only one I was offered as a trade. I call LE's "gimmick editions." It is just another way to try and stab you for money.

I buy limited editions only if it has a ton of nice extras (like an art book, a music CD, a poster, etc.). Otherwise, I usually stick with the original.

Gimmi..err limited editions are pretty cool actually

I like them as long as they provide cool little extras you will actually cherish.

Here is an example:

Bad Limited Edition
Fire Pro Wrestling D (a stupid trading card)

Good Limited Edition
Castlevania SOTN
GGX - PS2

Cool. Personally, I love LTD Editions. Some Favorites:

1. Nochturne in the Moonlight
2. ZOE
3. GGX Plus
4. Shenmue

I'll buy one if I can get it early for a reasonable price (and if it's not a game where I need to be able to read things to see what's going on: Like Biohazard/Resident Evil)

Oh, geez, if I can. I mean, I was really happy to get the Sonic 2 JPN 10th anniversary pack from NCS. That was very nice indeed. It's too bad the actual game blew.

I dont really have a lot of limited edition games. Im really the type who will be satisfied with just owning the game. Though that Sonic 2 pack sure is purdy.

I don't go for the JP versions unless I can read what's going on either.

The only limited edition game I have is U.S. Shenmue

Depends on how much extra they cost, and how badly I really want the extra bits...

So far I've got the Sonic 10th Birthday pack, DOA2 LE and CvS2 with Fan Disc for DC, and the Thunderforce V special pack with music CD for Saturn.

Oh and the Fire Pro D with trading card, but don't really care about that being limited or not.

I don't buy console games unless they will hold my interest for a long period of time. Usually this is a rpg game. I stopped buying the le edition due to the fact they never contained anything usefull beyond the game.
