I'm a snob on this matter.... gonna get the import instead because the North America version has the hack English dubbing.

I wouldn't worry about it. So much voice was cut out that you probably won't even notice. I did pick it up last night, and it is a good port tho. Glad to finally have a decent portable srpg.

Well I received my rental of this yesterday and put about an hour into it. It is a high quality game from what I have seen so far. The graphics are really good and the voice work and overall sound is impressive.

I had never played a Disgaea game, so I really didn't know what to expect but I am impressed. I would say that controls take a little time to get use to but that is mainly due to the d-pad when moving in certain directions. You can use the stylus but I really didn't want to do that.

Damn...I really want this game, but my local Walmart doesn't have it. Not really many other options for games in my area. Guess I'll have to order it online.

I played it for about half an hour. The gameplay's solid, but the music grates (it's midi'd rather than streamed like the ps2/psp releases.)

I'll stick with my PSP version, but if you haven't played it before or don't have a psp, definitely play this!

I saw the GH ps2 Disgaea at BestBuy for 20. I'll probably just pick that up rather than the Ds version.

Does this have an animated intro? I played the PSP version a little bit and it doesn't seems to have it, what I think it's pretty strange for this time and age... :conf:

Is this worth buying for someone who played through (and thoroughly enjoyed, I might add) the PSP version?

I played all the way through Disgaea: Hour of Darkness for the PS2 which I really enjoyed and I have yet to try Disgaea 2&3. Anyway I have been playing Disgaea DS and I have gotten to the third episode which I need to get an item at level 10 at the item world to get to another battlefield. It took me awhile to figure out how to get more items, armor, armbands and weapons by passing the exam mode. I didn't see any anime intro, hard to hear the sound on the DS Lite's speakers and I think that some of the voiced dialog has been removed and you only hear the voices on each episode. :)

The PS2 version I remember hearing voiced dialog in the game. I haven't tried the PSP version yet. :)
