Ok this game has been out nigh on 2 months and after mixed early feelings Im finally concluding its the greatest neo geo fighter ever.

Everything about this game. The great intro, the dark, serious atmosphere and constant feel in the game that something big is taking place. This is reflected in the soundtrack and the armageddeon aspect of the levels as U progress the game.

Right off the bat, the Hell stage is the single greatest stage ever seen in a fighting game, and the Heaven and first boss stage are like nothing seen since mark of the wolves.

I take my hat off to Playmore this is a tremendous achievement to make a game like this is in 2003 on the neo geo.

I bought a copy of the tips and tricks magazine SvC special even b4 I had the game, and now that ive played it using the BIOS Im kinda thinking what amateur they employed to find the hidden characters. With the Bios you get the full 36 characters selectable.
In addition to what those lamers at tips and tricks printed includes The Red Arrema and Athena and my favourite "Riot" Mr Karate.

This even badder ass Mr Karate has that super high kick he hasnt shown since art of fighting 1 and a 23 hit zenretsuken!!!

Don't worry about it, I'm glad there is no shortage of people who like the game as much as me. The biggest thing for me and I keep repeating it, is the service that SNKP gave the Capcom character sprites. Alot of them are better looking then the SNK side IMHO(just look how good Sagat and Dhalsim look), thats just pure class all the way...kudos to SNKP.

I'm not qualified to say this is the best Neo fighter ever, I simply haven't played enough of them to say that...but its the best I've played so far. Some great backgrounds, awesome character interaction, excellent sprites, good control, and simply forgivable hit detection. It may not be tournament worthy, but that doesn't mean its worthless. I still really enjoy it, and I'm glad to see more people do.

Hey Rasheed, I have the tips and tricks article that tells U how to manually enter codes to get hidden characters. Ive tried them out and they all work.
The cool thing about having the Debug Bios chip is that U simply dont need to do anything (in terms of setting dips) just turn on the game and U suddenly find you get access to all the hidden charcters.

Couldnt agree more gunstar hero, the fact Playmore have been so true to the Capcom charcaters is just great. I remember first playing Capcom V SNK on the DCX and being disapointed at how poorly drawn and bastardised the SNK characters were.

CvS has great looking SNK sprites. Kim looks great, very anime-ish. Kyo has never looked better. I honestly can't think of one bad SNK sprite on either CvS game.

Svc chaos is a fine fighter.period. nice work from Playmore with the aniamtion, and the Capcom characters were done quite well standing animation....wow it was quite good even Hugo, most of his animation Frames were kept intact I was impressesd...allthough its great and all I still find myself usin the majority of snk characters more often, capcom side I almost never use Balrog,Vega , Sagat or M.bison. even Guile once a favorite of mine back in the day is now overlooked by me...most of them still fight as though it was 1994 SF2. It just seems so dated. their fight arsenal seems like it needs a bit more to keep up with the SnK Fighters, IMHO.

Wasim, what version Bios chip do you have?? 1.1 or 1.2 or the newest one??
Just need to know as I wouldn't mind having all the characters selectable from the start! I got some hints how to get them but can't get all of them...would love to get Shin karate!!
So might have to buy a bios chip and try to install it...
And yes, this game is nice!! Doesn't beat MOTW, thats just the best ever!! But I enjoy it in my collection cause it makes me nostalgic!! Reminds me of the good old days when I has SFII on the snes :D
only moan is that some super specials are pretty poor.
but hey great game and happy its there on the geo

hi sengohan, Im not sure which one I had. I say had because I sold my machine to ROT. But I assume it was one of the older bios chips. The great thing was the characters would automatically appear on the select screen. Stage selects would also appear altho I ignored this option as I didnt want to ruin the game.
So in a nutshell. I think as long as you have any bios chip you will get the hidden characters. However if U need the manual codes. shoot me a PM with your address and Ill send you the magazine scan

What magazine issue is this? I just got the MVS/JAMMA version of the game and was wondering if there was any print help about the gameplay systems. There's only one faq on GameFaq's and I'd like to find more.
