I just got back, and this was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Being only a casual FF Gamer, (I only finished X and VIII) I felt ashamed. But all of these songs were so beautiful, alot of moments sent shivers down my spine. I overheard some people say they were wiping tears out of their eyes.
Nobuo Uematsu was there, and was sitting only a few chairs away from me, it was amazing to see the man responsible for all this fantastic Music. After the "last" song, Nobuo Talked to the audience for about 10 minutes, and asked how we were etc, he also was proud to announce that "Theme of Love" is going to be taught in Japanese Children's Music Programs. After this he asked if we'd like one more song, and then he proceeded to "Negotiate" with the conductor Arnie Roth. Then Sephiroth's Theme from Final Fantasy VII in full chorale! Really incredible, my other favorites were Liberi Fatali, Zanarkand, Theme of Love, and of course the medley.
There was a "Mistress emcee" from the local news station who covers Kings games, and she was terrible, and she said, "I'm not a gamer" The Crowd booed. Then she said (so fake it was sad) "But I'm looking around, and I should be, you are all SOOOO good looking."Retarded.
I was somewhat hoping for new Advent Children footage, but alas no luck.
