Neat piece of history - but the gameplay isn't there... literrally. C+D stance change? It was probably to expand the combos and double the movelists... which currently tallies up around 3 per person. Daraku Tenshi had incredible potential. Every thread about it runs the same conversation, though.

I tried it awhile back but it was extremely slow and no sound, I really liked it but it was pretty much unplayable.

How well does this work in mame now?

The C+D stance is useful in some cases. Especially for Haiji, it's a quick anti air upper cut.

3 moves per person is actually not bad if you consider that SF2 was like that for a while. It started with most characters only having 2 command moves

I'll even go out on a limb and say I like it.

It's complex through simplicity. The gameplay is good, because it requires a bit more thought and strategy to break through.

I know people will disagree, but 2 player Daraku matches tend to be very cerebral. It really shines in 2 player.

Meh, some people hate it, I look at it as an unfinished masterpiece.

It's worked fine in MAME for a good 2 years now. The only thing that isn't emulated properly that I remember is the ending conversation between Carlos and the player's character. They are non existant.

The only way to play it is either emulation or PCB?

Too bad. I would have liked to try this out (frankly, I just spent my money on a JP PS2 for Christmas (and about 8 games for it)).

What's a realistic price for this PCB (English or Japanese)?

AOF

Pending it doesn't have a jumper wire that has to be taped down to function? :smirk:

Probably 400+
