Ok, I gave up on the game when I couldn't beat my bro's M.Bison when I was playing as Terry. He would charge back in the beginning of the match and then would perform a psycho crusher whenever I did anything offensive.

As Terry I tried all of his specials and he countered them all with just that move. If I just kept away from him he would not attack. Or he would perform the psycho crusher once to get block damage then continue to back off. The problem was whenever he performed the psycho crusher he would hold forward in order to immediately perform it on the way back.

:help:

I think I can help you, see the physcho crusher will go through you. So when you see him go past you immediately press standing Roundhouse Kick(Strong Kick). Remember when he performs the move you block it then quickly tap RK. If, I remember correctly that will knock him out of the move. People who abuse that move usually end up with their ass beat, it seems that your brother only knows that tactic. Try my advice out and watch your brother never do that again.

Tell your brother that even my grandma has a mean Bison. ANYONE can play that cheap piece of shit. Playing characters with a ground fireball is tough against Bison. What I do is keep my back against the wall, and when the come in with that psycho crusher, then you block everything and then combo/throw. Don't do a powerwave, as I don't think it will hit him. Good luck, he's pretty cheap.

Bison is easy. His psycho crusher goes right through you, and you can always just hit him with Terry's standing FP when it passes. Man, why didn't you even try to parry that crap? If that's all he did, then your bro is just a scrub that sorely needed a parry or JD up in his face.

Yo Wes since you recommend Dhalsim in K-groove, what other characters should go with him in that groove?

p.s. when i perform a raging storm at the end of the deadly rave it gives me wood. Just thought i'd like ya'll know that little tidbit of info, it may help you in the future.

K Groove is really good for pokers. Just Defend shit all day, build mad rage, and kill the person in a few pokes. Hibiki is a fucking awesome poker, and can drain your shit quick enough without the rage bonus. Haohmaru has some neat little guard traps (think I told you about them in Mississippi), but is pretty hard to use. Maki is good in K, as well as Kim, Ryo, Balrog, and Eagle. Basically any person who can poke good and/or has high damage normals/specials. Some characters need the roll mobility and the ability to churn out supers quicker than K. It requires a little more thought to the gameplay and isn't as straight forward as C or N.

thanks a bunch. I think I'll start out with Dhalsim, Balrog and Maki just to see how they work and also because I really wanna learn maki(i been in this final fight mood for some time now). If that shit don't work i'll switch out Maki for Hibiki or Haohmaru. Oh yeah, do you got any tips for how Maki is played cuz basically i'm fucking clueless, lol.

I'd really recommend Hibiki to form a solid team. She's just way too good of a poker with those long ranges and high damage she does. Something like a Sim/Rog/Hibiki to try out. Eagle is really good too, despite his horrid character design. Maki is pretty hard to use effectively.

But Maki's high low game is sick. She's got some good moves... maybe not top tier, but I've torn people new assholes with her for sure.

a good high low game is good enough to topple even the most top tier of characters so its all good for me.

I like using Kyosuke. That guy is good to use IMHO.He definately does not play like his project justice/rival school counterpart but he has made the translation to 2d pretty well.
Kyosuke in C-groove is mean even though that groove remains as the most used.

Competitively, Kyosuke is like one of the worst. Sure, he's fun to play around with, but it's very, very hard to win against a mid/top tier.

When I bullshit around (aka, having 'fun' matches), I usually use:

Kyosuke
Ryo
Athena
Yun
Rock
King
Todo
Vice

In any number of combinations. There's something to be said for playing your heart out with the more difficult characters to go for the win.

The problem is he usually backs off and waits for me to attack. I've been able to get a few throws on him just by walking directly up to him. I've noticed I can occasionally cancel the psycho crusher with a standard jumping kick which has been helping. What Aztek Ninja and Son Gohan mentioned works but I have to lure him into performing the move. Anyway thanks for the help.

Bigfred, why don't you try constant pressure game? If you're able to pressure Bison, he's so easy man. And with that pressure, set up throw traps (which it sounds like your bro is very prone for). There's tons of videos with some nice throw setups that catch a lot of people off guard.

lol who is scared of a psycho crusher?

PARRY THAT SHIT DOWN

I'd be more scared of a mean A Groove Bison.

Also, Bison has some amazing guardcrush combos. Guard crush into slide move + flip kick then activate :(

btw, play Sagat vs bison. Just throw lots of Fierce/Roundhouse fireballs (i'd play with C or N) and then chip the hell outta him with his fireball special. if he gets fed up and comes towards you, start throwing jabs/shorts into his tiger knee or tiger fist whatever. (DPM + P/K) knock him down, do a jab tiger knee before he wakes up, and then go again. mix it up.

I'd use K groove for any rushdown centered characters/and pokersr (as SonGohan already covered). JD is best for turning the tide (not as good as parry, but it does okay) against jump ins, and jabs. My team for K is:
Akuma/ Sagat(2)/ Yun
