Alright, here's what happened:

It was the final stage (aka normal final stage, not the boss). My character was R1 N-Kim, and the CPU character was R2 C-Morrigan. I had 2 stocks and the computer went for her super (where she flies off the screen, then comes back on the opposite side). Good, once I saw her go for this super, I immediately broke into max mode, saw her come for me from the other side, and then jumped and did Kim's air super to connect when she was right under me gunning for my ass.

I connect with her, but it just stops. She stays suspended in her "hit animation", Kim's "da-da-da-da-da-da" is heard, but none of it happens. I can push her suspended animation across the screen, but I can't hit her. My normals and specials just go right through her. It's fucking weird. I've been playing this game since it first came out and never had any glitches of any sort like this happen. Anybody else have any sort of experiences like this?

no its not a glitch. You just need to quick fuckin playin those damn burned ass copies and buy the real thing, then maybe it'll work for you instead of fucking up.

j/k.

Actually Wes, i've seen that in multiple Capcom 2d fighting games for some reason. Including the almighty perfect Street Fighter 3 third Strike! And this glitch usually involves a super move fucking up. I've got movies of this in Third strike and Super Turbo. Its crazy. It must be something with the way capcom programs their games or something.

Well that's fucking weird. I got it to happen again (out of sheer luck, I think). This time, while she was suspended in animation, I tried Kim's hishokyaku, which hit her out of it. That was the only move that would hit her though. Must be a problem with teh burnzz

Which console version of CvS2 were you playing?

I've got some weird shit that i'm noticing, which might be due to my arcade stick (ghetto POS) or version of the game etc.

Okay so you know how a shoto sweep is cancable?

So with Akuma, I was just fucking around to see if I can do sweep, LK hurrican kick, LK Hurrican kick.

So I do a sweep, cancel it, but it does a HK kick. I'm like hmm... Try it again, same thing. So then I do just a sweep, and then a single QCB motion, and it does it...

weird?

@Devil_Gans - I was playing the DC version (was kidding about playing a burned copy).

@Shinji - You can do this in most Capcom games. It's kinda hard to get certain combos right because you can buffer the button press and the motion afterwards, but it's not that big of a problem.

Heh, in CvS1 akuma could abuse those sweeps into another move really well.I remember a lot of people were complaining about it back then.Benimaru could also combo into his super(qcfX2+P) from the sweep.
