Just replaced the sound module on Cowboy Moo Mesa.
I've had a bootleg for a few years, and it's weird to hear the real music.

What did it sound like before? I have the real board, and mine is working.

My bootleg has looped sound, where it was like 15 seconds of the same music repeating lol.

This board is a nice clean one, just needed to replace the sound module amp. So I got a good deal on a " not working for parts board " even though it was visually working.

Nice find. lol, what the hell kind of bootleg did you find? They changed the sound to save money somehow I guess? A Konami game without Konami music just needs to be chucked out the window.

Just a generic bootleg board.
I have a Violent Storm bootleg as well. For a while I was a on a bootleg kick, wanted to see what was different if anything.
But on this one, it has some graphical glitches, and the sound obviously.

Played some more this weekend.
8044Q is the test bench monitor.
The Prison CRT is another project, going to RGB mod it, since it only has RF
I already added a speaker, that was an easy add.

Found some pictures on an old hard drive.
This would be around 2011 when we just bought our house. I didn't even put the legs under our bed. But the gaming set up was finished.
I miss that Loewe. The picture quality was awesome and the design was ace. I "found" it in my dads office and went with me to my student dorm , first appartment and then finally our house. Where it died.

That Loewe really looks amazing! I love the design, and of course their quality has always been very high (the downside of the hi-end consumer stuff like Loewe or B&O is that they're very difficult to repair if something goes wrong).

Recent flea market find, a 17" Blaupunkt PM 45-41 VT. I've picked it up with very little enthusiasm after a bad day, only 'cause I've paid 5 bucks for it... boy, was I wrong. This might be my favorite CRT find so far. As an italian I honestly didn't even know Blaupunkt made TVs, I only knew them for their car hi-fi, but this german thing is fantastic. The screen curvature is perfect, not too flat and not too round; colors and contrast are great. Audio doesn't work and it needs some image size adjustment (very curious to see who produced the tube, there's no info online but I'll see when I'll open it).

It's actually a Grundig Chassis with a Blaupunkt label.
I was just doin' some research on Radiomuseum, and that seems to be the case! Thanks for the extra info Hattori. 🤝 It's no wonder I like it so much, Grundig has always been my favorite brand (had a 32" 4:3 when I was little, then a 32" 16:9 that's still in my basement... but the image has uneven luminosity, 'cause I've used it too much in 4:3 with black bars on the side)

It was basically perfect. The remote was also really cool. I always thought I would run into another one but sadly never saw another one.
