Just curious if anyone here could help me with this. I've a green 1944, and read that green/blue boards can be used on each other's main boards. Thus if anyone knows which eprom(s) I'd need to re-burn to get english text/speech on my game (and possibly point me to the rom images), it'd be appreciated. Since the two are interchangeable I'm guessing this is simply a matter of re-burning the eproms... correct me if I'm wrong tho...

Thanks

Ok your confusing hardware with software. The hardware between meaning A/B boards are interchangeable for jap and U.S boards. The spoken language of the B boards are determined by software which through traditional mean can not be just changed by changing stock japanese roms for English ones because the encryption is configured for the japanese rom set. The only way to change regions is to phoenix the board which you will have to pay neo member Razoola for.

I'm thinking about finding and releaseing patch details so users can patch boards with working encryption to change region only. I'm just not sure it would be a good idea to do, I have had another member ask me about this but I have not done it. I don't like the idea of changing data on the ROMs without there being some way to confirm its happened by someone else in the future (thats why phoenix edition have the splash screen).
