Live action Alita and GITS are both terrible. Alita is slightly more accurate to the source material for whatever that's worth. Though I find it hard to even look at because of the CG, Alita herself was creepy looking.

In the early 2000s I would always hear about live action adaptations of Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, and Akira. The projects got stalled over and over again so I thought they’d just be stuck in development hell. But here we are. 2/3

Isn't that how we ended up with the Matrix? A failed adaptation of Ghost in the SHell?

An actual trailer:

John Cho and whoever's playing Faye just have the wrong energy. This shouldn't exist but I'll probably end up watching it eventually out of morbid curiosity.

It actually looks like it could be good on its own merit.

More yikes. The fighting looks like slow motion even though it's regular speed. A lackadaisical roll on the floor, a careful moving into place and half speed punch into a waiting block. It's like they filmed the practice rehearsal.

And Spike isn't his real name now? Go eat a dick.

I have not watched any of the new series yet but a friend sent me this clip and I had ask if it was even real.

Painfully apparent how the season finale saved the worst for last.

"Edward is canonically non-binary now, bigots!"

Showcard ender concludes with "See you later Space Cowgirl"

The showrunners can't even get their own propaganda right.

Maybe the entire Live Action series is a triste on the absurdity of Japananimation.

Unless you like sprinkling in the occasional French or Spanish adjective Scott, the word you're looking for is "treatise." :)

Anyways, I actually want to watch this since it is seems so aesthetically off the wall.

But I tend to avoid most TV series.

I cant believe no one has taken one for the team and watched it just to say they hated it yet.

I’d rather sit outside doing nothing than watch this abortion.

John Cho is a neat guy and all that, but that is just bad casting....
