How do you know if you got a converted cart? Because I got a copy of Samurai Showdown 4 english i think, and i have doubts. The box and manual seem to be in english, but when the title screen comes up the title "Samurai Showndown 4" is in japanese. But when I play the game all the spoken text are in english. I have a debug chip, so I was switching between english and japanese, in japanese mode the text is still in english. Can some one help me?

And another thing my copy of Samurai Showdown 4 which the seller said was a US copy, still doubting.....Has no intro animation and when you go to the option screen there is no language select. Is there something wrong with my US copy? (if it is a US copy that is)

I think I know what version you have. Does the title screen look like this?

Don't worry. Your SS4 is cool. It's just got a little more Seoul. <IMG SRC="smilies/tickled.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/tickled.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/tickled.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/tickled.gif" border="0">

Yep, exactly like that. The seller told me it was a US version, but when I fired it up the title screen is different. What's up with that?

id say..
because if it doesnt include
a language switch mode and is
missing some of the voices and
the intro demo then yea. i d say
its defective.
but thats just my opinion.
and the defective run line coming from
the fact that there were a few that
actually have this problem.

GAWD! why is this all happening at the smae time in different areas of the frickin board.

Listen, the game is not a bootleg, nor defective. A shitload of people have the same cart you do, including me. I don't like it much, because I originally played the arcade version, with the full voices.

Your cart was manufactured in Korea, for Koreans. All japanese is removed, except most character names. All japanese voices and text I mean. Sound effects, grunts, laughter, etc are intact though.

The title screen is supposed to be written in Katakana, but was changed to kanji. Also, the word "samurai" is removed. Thus, the only japanese you find is the character names (written in english) and some staff roll names.

This should be known as the World War 2, post pearl harbor, US version.

Looks like you have the Korean version of Samurai Shodown IV. Are there other Korean Neo games out there? I would like to know if anyone knows of any.
