I guess they aren't into boxing, ...

But they are into Strider, aren't they? So what about Run Saber? Not to mention Famicom's Hiryu outing. Marvin Missions by Sunsoft is a great jump'n shoot; a little manga'ish localization magic, like with Ruka, and it would've been a sleeperhit in Nihon, too. No Dungeon Explorer on the Mega-CD either, though it's different than Engine's version. It's quite rare to see an english release being offered on yahoo auctions. They don't want gaijin stuff? So be it.

Has anyone ever sold a game to someone in Japan? It is interesting that they do not seem to be interested in non-Japanese releases. I would think some games such as Super Punch Out (which never had a physical release in Japan) would be really popular among collectors over there.

The Japanese versions of a game are for the most part always cooler. The Art, cartridge shape, case/box. Some games have added scenes or stages. Why the hell would they want the U.S or Pal versions.

There was a YAJ listing back in May for a US Metal Slug 2 AES with a BIN of 89000 Yen (about USD $750). The seller wanted to get rid of it because he was looking for the JP version. Needless to say, I missed out. It sold while I was logging in to my account to buy it. I was so mad.

Game & Watch games only released in the west usually fetch a nice price.

I would have done the same thing.

You sure the MS2 wasn't a conversion? I hear that AES conversions pop up all the time on there.

Tokyo is a big place. Filled w/ lots of spots other than Not-so-Super Potato.

Akiba hasn't been the place to go for the most selection or a decent bargain in over a decade...unless, you want teh pron.

The weekend lot swap meets, the little hole in the walls like midori-mart and others near most train stations...and that is just Tokyo. Get out into the countryside, and it's a TVGame smorgasbord.

Lol @ this article.

Not long ago, book off was a sleeper. Probably not anymore, since they even launched on YAJ...
