No its not.

Hyper Street Fighter 2 is a Street Fighter 2 dream match. You can play as characters from all of the SF2 revisions. This is actually a port of the CPS2 version, which still is about $700.

which version is the one where you can do fireballs in the air, the weak fireball is super slow and you can have like 50 fireballs on the screen at the same time?

i didnt say it was the same game i said its a revision of SSF2T meaning thats what it is at its core. if you take out all the versions of the characters thats what you have left. so to answer his question that is the closest game in the series to hyper.

Xian Xi probably red wave or rainbow edition

i was a bit hung over earlier and i apparently missed the point of this thread. hyper was officially released in the black single board cps2 format. im not sure what the story is on the B boards but i know the green B board i own is apparently a bootleg.

yes, but wouldn't you rather have Super Turbo? Or even better, wouldn't you rather have them all? lol

Don't forget that ST has both ST and Super versions of each character.

Oh btw, I've never played Hyper Anni so don't assume I know what I'm talking about.

Hyper SF2 and Progear are actually the only known bootlegged games. Your game will have memory simms that are found in CPS3 games if its legit. Also, I dont' think Hyper SF2 came out in the single board, I think it was only green B boards, however I could be mistaken.

I personally think the PCB is way over priced. You can get all of the previous versions that are found on that board for less than $800 (what it usually sells for).

uh oh, they bootleg Progear as well! I need to research this because I plan to have on of those one of these days. Not today though, I could have a bunch of janky mvs games for that price.

I would not recommend this single board version as raz can not phoenix it.

For the love of god does anyone know where I can get a legit green board version.

Well i love street fighter too man, but $800 for one game that has a ps2 port. Ouch.

The flyers are cool though :buttrock:

If I was utterly filthy rich I would be all over that.

Why are there 35 different versions of Street Fighter 2? Could somebody please outline 2 or 3 versions that would be "the" versions to own? I get totally lost when looking to buy a SF2 board. :lolz:

basically it was popular so they could improve on the game and arcade ops would have to buy the new revisions to keep current. guilty gear xx, reload, and slash are a pretty good example of it today. really the only 2 you should be interested in are street fighter II turbo and super street fighter II turbo/x. hyper is more of a novelty to me while sf2, champ, and super are all so slow that the only reason to own them is nostalgia.

I would say

They all Build up on one another the 5 streetfighters like more moves, New players secret characters, More redefined gameplay and so fourth the 3 i would go for is hyper, Ssf2 and ssf2x the reason why i picked the 2 supers is because of In Ssf2x you dont get the bonus rounds it really is more of a Tournement game.
